Confused Can anyone help me please??
How do I revise an Auctiva listing that I had to end early due to messed up layout? I would like to be able to revise the template using Auctiva, as I had used auctiva originally on it. I would prefer not to have to pay Ebay another $4.50 to do it as a new listing, when I can just relist it. But I really liked the listing, except for the horizonal screw-up, which I didn't see until it was posted on Ebay, and I looked at it there. I hope to get this taken care of quickly, if possible. Thanks for all the help I can get.

Hi,

You need to use the Revise Listing editor at eBay. You can update your listing at Auctiva and then use the <HTML> icon on the Saved Listings page to copy and paste the new HTML code into the eBay description to replace the problem code. Make sure you delete the old code, except for the Scrolling Gallery that is demarc <!--ASW--> at beginning and end of the code.

This is the common method to update a problem listing without cancellation or make revision on a Relist.

is this how I would update the auctiva template on an active eBay listing ?

Hi,

Yes, the method I described can be used to replace (or add) an Auctiva template to an active listing on eBay.

Make sure you preview to visually check the change before you commit to the revision. The trick is in retaining code you want to keep, like the Scrolling Gallery (and the Sellathon Counter). Those pieces of code are marked with comments, like the <!--ASW--> at beginning and end of their section. Sellathon has a similar comment demarc. If it isn't correct, just quit and start over. It can take some practice in what to look for and correctly delete before pasting the new code. If you have one that's got you stumped, post the listing number and someone experienced with doing it can look at the code and give you tips.

Hope that helps. Wink
