Huge question.. does anyone with auctiva read these posts??? I have looked at about 50 in the last week or two and very few have auctiva input? (I briefly looked at commerce and some are answered there) but since that listing system was sooooo difficult for someone without web experience surrendered on that.

I was always impressed that auctiva read the posts much less answered.. questions on here and thought.. that is sure caring about the customer. . but am finding that no longer the norm. They are rarely answered in ebay issues part. Seems most posts are being ignored there. Auctiva.. is there no interest in what got you started? Most people will still start listing on auctiva before jumping into a commerce store. (I would think).

Am also finding that getting answers from help that answers are fast, but very, very vague and lately the fixes do not work. Some dance around the question. (reminds me of calling these oursourcers out of country who are not trained) And require many emails with what appears to be answers. In several cases fixes have been guessed at and when it did not work, it was let's guess again. Most of us do not have time to go in and fix and re-fix listings over and over. Obviously time is money.

Anyone else feeling this.. or is it just me? I do not feel my expectations are that high. I just want accurate answers when I ask a question and not run around trying all sorts of fixes which cost me money.

If support person does not know answer, perhaps they need to move up the food chain to someone who does know. .as it is frustrating. Some of my questions, were very simple fixes obviously did not realize this until support fixes did not work, one taking over 1 1/2 hour of time when all I had to do was go into accounts and change one little box.

I sure miss the old auctiva.. wish they would come back with the excellent support we use to get. Yes, I could move on.. but keep hoping when the dust settles from the commerce stores that we will get them back.

This song from the commercial comes to mind:

BABY COME BACK !!!!

Hi,
I'm new to Auctiva and am finding it a little difficult to navigate. I agree with you regarding the 'help'. It's not satisfactory, and from the 2 out of 5 questions i have asked that they have even bothered to answer, neither were even close to being helpful. Noone answers my call for help on the discussion boards either. Being in Auctiva is like travelling to a non English speaking country. Not impressed. Have a happy day! :-)
I am NOT new.. been using them for YEARS, but am finding problems galore lately that I rarely had before. I am hoping when the dust settles from them expanding to commerce, and charging for service now.. that things will calm down and they will get back to business before further major expansions. There seem to be many quirks that need ironing out.

If you need some help, I will help when I can, though.. lately, I need more help than I ever did.. so could be like blind leading blind. I could probably help you get started though.. as long as you are not going commerce store. . .I gave up on that.. as it was WWWWAAAAAYYYYYY over my head.

The reason you are not getting much help from others. . is a lot of the people who did this before are on commerce stores now and dealing with those issues.. so they do not spend as much time over at this part. (I don't blame them. . but that is why there is not as much help) I did just read your other post.. and I have never used scheduling.. so can't help you there.

Auctiva has been wonderful for me.. I love using them.. but am finding some issues that I hope they will start working on soon, as this has NOT been the norm for them.

I really want them back. . the old way. .
Hello, lookandbuyme, I wonder if you can help me with a problem, as you seem to be better at it than Auctiva! I can't understand the new custom specifics at all. I contacted Auctiva twice, did what they said, and I'm still getting notices after I've listed, saying the specifics weren't valid - just simple things, like the colour red, wasn't accepted. If I carry on using the old item specifics, will they carry on converting them for me, as they have in the past? I'd be really grateful for any help from anybody about this.
Hi - thanks for that vote of confidence wish I did know as much as they do. I also had problems with Custom Specifics but my was on my end.

That is weird and to me it sounds like a technical problem on their end.

I do now you can't write anything outside some of the boxes. For instance when in Main Color, did not use their drop down color and wrote in say turquoise, it dumped it. You have to use their colors (which sounds like you did).

The old specifics do carry over. However, I would test a couple first because I have not done the old in a week or two. Also, the old ones that have writing outside of their boxes are not always converting over. Say if you have main color and clicked other and put in pink and blue. On most listings the pink and blue will not flip over to ebay. So if you have some inside of the boxes they were moving over a week or two ago.

I do not know how this works if acutiva ends the use of the first option though. I assume they will have set up system to convert them, but do not know that for sure.

I changed a bunch of my listings to the new, it was time consuming process. If you change it be sure to clear out the old one, it will not work with both filled in. There is little box on old that says CLEAR do it there. I am sure you already know that but someone may not.

I am now doing all of my new listings with the NEW form though.

Not sure if this helps, it should like you are doing this the right way.

When you write support always have your cookies and cache cleared and let them know on first support request that you have done that. Most of the time that saves a step back & forth.

Sorry, wish I could be more help. . will check back later if you have other questions or that I missed something.

Vickie
Thanks, Vickie - I really appreciate the fast reply, and thankyou SO MUCH (even if it did make me realise it was just me being thick!) I was typing each one into the boxes at the top instead of just clicking on the individual ones in the list. Sometimes it helps just to "talk" to someone about things - gets your brain looking at it from a new direction.
Thanks again, Lyn
