Domain name for store

Yes, they go to your Auctiva store; just as they currently would using your default store URL (like the one in my sig.).

No, but the idea of a Registered .com domain address is to tie business to name, so the customer can easily find you. I think the domain name will have alot more meaning with eComm services coming for a full merchant eStore at Auctiva, that can have other than ebay listed items.

Hey Danno!

I saw your informative post about store names and domain names and I was wondering if you could see my question below (also posted earlier on the community board):

My domain name I just purchased through Auc. is the name of my "store" i.e. www.4-ninesfine.com
but when I go to the domain it lists my username instead of my store name. i.e. Auctiva Store: dleckington and NOT 4-Nines Fine Store

How do you change it so when you go to your domain, it has the
store name to match?

Hi Tricia,

The Store tab has some setups (lower left on page). You use the Store Domain link for substituting your new Domain Name in place of the default (like mine in my sig). See if the new name you purchased is showing Activated as its status, or you still have the old default name. You can also change the Header (like mine) using the Store Header link to place your banner image and store name with other info.

Hi Tricia,

If you would like to change the title (header text) that appears at the top of your Auctiva store when it is viewed, you just need to click the "Store Header" link under the "Store" tab within your Auctiva account. You can actually configure that text to be whatever you'd like it to be, and you can even upload a store logo if you wish.

If you are referring to the text that is displayed in the top bar on your browser when your Auctiva store is viewed, you will need to edit your META tags to change that information. If you would like to change your META tags, you can do so by clicking the "META Tags" link under the "Store" tab within your account.
