Hi All
I have just tried to list 12 Items and have only managed to get 3 listed. Which means I have 9 failed here is the reason Ebay gave.
I apologize for the inconvenience. The exact error message returned by eBay in response to your attempt to post this listing was:

Attention Seller! In order to maintain a safe trading environment, selling limits are occasionally placed on accounts listing items that are reportedly favored by counterfeiters. At this time, you are limited in the number of items you can list (or revise) in any 7 day period. If you have any additional questions about this subject,, email us at Customer Support

We sincerely value you as a member of our trading community and look forward to a continued successful relationship.

What can I do to get over this reoccurring issue? Do I need to change my status?? I here holding turbo listing status can stop this! Is this true??? If so what do I need to do to get turbo listing status??
Thanks
Mathew

Hi Matthew.
I don't know exactly what they are, but there are VERO limitations. I think the specific limits are based on several factors.
quote:
If you have any additional questions about this subject,, email us at Customer Support

I'd ask them, if it were me. I've found if I bother them enough, you can eventually get an answer. With patience and perseverance, you should find out what your limits are and why. Don't take no for an answer... so to speak. MAKE them talk to you. That's the only way to get more than the canned responses.

As for the turbo listing status... I don't quite understand that. Turbo lister is a software to create your listings. I don't like it myself (edit- nor do my computers) and find Auctiva MUCH more user friendly. Smile

Maybe someone else can answer that one. I'd go after eBay about the VERO till they said specifically what I was doing wrong.
Oh, just looked at one of your links (sorry, didn't look before)

I doubt ebay will cave on this one no matter how much you pester them. Your FB IS low, and your one neg, even tho very old, they're probably still going to hold it against you. They never used to look at FB, only reports, but now they're looking not only at FB but the star ratings as well.

Maybe try to list again in a week? That's what I would do...Good luck.
Ok I sent a email to ebay and this is what I have got back. They go one about having a verified paypal account which I do and I have it linked in with eBay

Hello Matthew, Thank you for contacting us regarding the limit placed on your account. My name is Ciara and I apologise for the delay in responding. At eBay we're committed to keeping fraud and counterfeits off our site. eBay has introduced new initiatives to ensure the safety of our members. These new initiatives apply to every registered member on the site, so please don't feel that we're singling you out. Limits are set for 7 trading days. One of these new initiatives is that sellers must verify their PayPal account and link it to their eBay account in order to list items reportedly most favoured by counterfeiters. eBay members who have become"PayPal Verified" have confirmed their identity by going through PayPal's process. This higher level of verification is designed to reduce fraud and will make it more difficult for counterfeiters to list items on eBay. Here's what to do now: 1) Become PayPal Verified2) Link your eBay and Verified PayPal accounts - Become PayPal Verified Your PayPal account status is shown on the PayPal "My Account Overview" page. Please go to http://www.paypal.co.uk/uk and log in to your PayPal account. If you're not yet verified, click the "Unverified" link and follow the step by step instructions provided to add your bank account or credit card details. Note: If you're in the process of verifying your PayPal account, you'll need to wait until your PayPal account is shown as "Verified" before listing certain items. - Link your eBay and Verified PayPal accounts Once you have verified your PayPal account you must link it to your eBayaccount. Here's how: 1. Log into your PayPal account and click the Profile subtab. 2. Select "Selling Preferences" > "Auctions".3. Click "Add" and enter your eBay User ID. Tip: If you have more than one PayPal account, make sure that the Verified account is linked to your eBay account. For more information about our "Building Trust by Reducing Counterfeits"initiative, copy this link into a new browser window: http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/sell/selling-btac-faqs.html Please note that we don't have access to your PayPal account at eBay. Ifyou need any assistance with the verification process please contact PayPal Customer Service directly by clicking "Contact Us" at the bottom of any PayPal page. I hope that this information clarifies why you encountered a restrictionon your account and helps you to remove it. Kind regards, Ciara MaguireeBay Customer Support ____________________

What do you think should be my next move??
Well Matthew, I'd still bug the crud out of 'em until they gave me a real reason then.
I'd tell them all of this, point by point, that you're verified and whatever else they're trying to evade the issue by using. Your persistence really should pay off to get to the bottom of it.
I ask them to spell it out, slowly and in detail so I can understand what I'm doing wrong and want to get it right so I don't have these problems in the future. You just have to find the right person that's gonna tell you.

Sorry Miss M. We think a lot alike... doesn't mean we'll always agree. Do ya still love me? Wink
edit... Listings is different than tech issues. I've actually gotten somewhere talking to listing peoples. lol
Hello all ... This may or may not be helpfull. I had a problem with listings not being allowed a while back recieving a similar message about linking paypal accounts etc. I bounced back and fowards with paypal help and everything in my paypal account was saying it was fine and properly linked . Ebay was no help at all just bouncing back the same message in a variety of forms either by email or through the power seller help. Eventually one of the paypal support people sorted it... the link was in effect from the paypal side .. but not from the ebay side... Sorry but I cant remember how I fixed it but it took about 1 sec. Steve
Once again I get a canned response I will try again!!!!!!!

Hey Mathewb,

Nope, nothing you can do about that (although 2 days is excessive!) They are overly cautious with folks selling things that may have a VERO application, and also with kind of low FB, like you have. The more you sell, the more FB you get (as long as it's positive) the search delay time time seems to get shorter.
And yes, I know this firsthand, so just try to hang in there Smile

~~It seems no matter what I list now, no matter what kind of brand name it may have, it is searchable within minutes.
Well I should not have spoken to soon look what has happened why have they done this. And what can I do to make sure it does not happen again?

Dear mathew1168,

We regret to inform you that your eBay account has been suspended for a period of no less than 7 days for breaching eBay's Trademark Violation - Unauthorised Item policy.

Trademark infringement is unlawful and breaches eBay's policies. A trademark is a unique sign (such as a name, word, phrase, logo, or symbol) that a company uses to identify its products and/or services.

Using another company's trademark in a way that may confuse buyers about the source of goods or services, or confuses buyers into believing that the seller is affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by the trademark owner is both illegal and against eBay's policies. Examples include counterfeits, unauthorised replica items and items that bear the brand or logo of a company without that company's permission.

Guideline: If the product you are listing bears the brand or logo of a company, but it wasn't made or authorised by that company, don't sell it on eBay.

You may not deny knowledge of, or disclaim responsibility for, the authenticity or legality of any item you list, for example by adding a disclaimer to your listing. Before listing an item on eBay, you should make sure that you're legally able to sell the item and that it's authentic. If you're not sure whether an item is authentic, please don't list it on eBay.

For more information copy these links into new browser windows:

http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/replica-counterfeit.html

http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/trademark.html

During your suspension you?re unable to leave or receive feedback, buy or sell items or file Unpaid Item Disputes. If you need to access information about listings that ended before your suspension period check the emails we sent you when the listings ended.

Please be assured that we?ve carefully reviewed each breach of eBay policy that led to this decision and verified that the correct action was taken.

We recently removed the following listing:

120208877126 - Brand New Gucci Silver Cross Pendent

During your suspension you?re prohibited from registering new accounts or using existing accounts. Any attempt to re-register or use eBay will result in permanent account suspension with no possibility of reinstatement.

Any seller fees due to eBay are now due and payable. eBay will charge any amounts owing to the billing method currently on file.

We value your membership and we hope you?ll have a better understanding of our policies at the end of your suspension period.

We value your membership and we hope you?ll have a better understanding of our policies at the end of your suspension period.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this matter.

Regards,
eBay Trust & Safety

Do I still have to pay for my listings???
Yep Ms M, I have replied within seconds of Taz, 2 minutes here, probably cause' I'm feeling tired. Wink

Nevermind Mathewb, with eBay being backed into a corner by major copyright owners now they will zealously nail anyone with the slightest excuse. And the smaller the seller you are, the less likely you are to be able to fight back and the least fees they lose whilst you are suspended.

Best spend the time doing it bit more homework if you are not to be nobbled by competitors reporting you, speaking of which check out their listings so you can make yours eBay proof.

It is well worth your while as high value fashion goods give a good return relative to fees Smile
Matthewb,

Ebay's anti fraud measures are beyond ridiculous, granted. But you're a relatively new seller who is selling a high fraud/counterfiet item. No offense, but I wouldn't buy from you. NOTHING personal Smile...I would just rather go with a seller who had thousands of good FB if I were to drop that kind of a buck.

I have to wonder why you got suspended...did you list you're items after they told you not to?
Hi,

I can't see those particular listings because of the suspension, but looking at the Tiffany item, and after re-reading Ebay's notice to you again, it MIGHT be the link inserted in the description. (Don't know if you had a link in the Gucci one or not, can't see it)

Normally you are allowed a link to better describe the item, but in this case I'm not so sure. Because other than that, your listings look perfectly fine to me. I would go to Ebay Live Help and demand to know EXACTLY what happened. You can see emails are getting you nowhere.

Good luck
