OK so this is the 3rd year in a row I have asked

Each time the moderator agrees it should be fixed ,and still no fix.

If I delete a listing why is there no option for deleting the photos. The server space alone would pay for the update, I would think . I still have almost every listing I ever made still on your servers ,as there is no incentive to remove them. So instead I go through the labor intensive process of deleting by hand. Yes I know about the wizard but there is a high percentage that I dont want deleted . Any one else have this issue? May have to shop around. When my bill doubles for a hand full over the limit, it's time to evaluate who I am doing business with.

Hi curbtrader3,

Thanks for checking back in with us on this. Actually, the new version of our Saved Listings page that is now available does give you the option to delete the images in the associated listings as you are deleting saved listings from your account so hopefully that functionality will make your life easier.

If you would like to give this a try, you will first need to go to the new version of the Saved Listings page within your account by clicking the “Try out our new and improved Saved Listings page!" link just about the "Delete" button on the old Saved Listings page.

Then, check the box next to an item on the new Saved Listings page and click the “Delete” button and you should immediately be presented to delete the images in that saved listing as well.

It is not currently possible to set the new version of the Saved Listings page as the default so you will have to click over to it from the old Saved Listings page each time you want to reach it, but we are planning on making the new version of the page the default in the not too distant future.

If you need any further assistance with this, please feel free to contact our customer support team by mousing over the “Help” tab within your account and selecting the “File Support Case” option.

Auctiva does not grasp how conveinent the Closed Listing page is to list from I guess. I also have been suggesting, asking, begging, pleading, and bribing (yes I offered to pay more money) for minimal changes to theis page that mimiced all the "fancy things" they tout about the saved page

oh well enogh I must go find a life

below is an exchange I had when I realized I could be using eBay's new ZOOM feature on the pictures for free, I don't know if the Picture Pak is free all the time or because we have a Basic Store either way for jewelry it's a great feature. SAdly Support had to give the stock answer. We are going to add it sometime" I replied something like this would make folks happy and happy folks will pay an extra $1 or so

I've turned Blue far too often over things like this so I just roll along imstead of holding my breath

Hi

I am wondering if there is anyway when the Images are sent to eBay that eBay's Picture Pak Option could be enabled. I would like to take advantage of their free Zoom feature but right now that means I have to go into the eBay listing after it is unloaded from Auctiva and delete and add the pictures through eBay. Is there a way to tell the API to upload the pictures to eBay so eBay can host them and than hopefully the Picture Pak would function?

thank you I am afraid of the answer

Hello,

Thanks for contacting us regarding this matter. Unfortunately, eBay's Picture Pack option cannot be enabled when posting your listings through Auctiva as we are not specifying that the listings use Picture Pack. The only workaround to get this feature of your listings will be revising your listing directly on eBay.

Our development team is already aware of this situation and we hope to be able to address it with a future update of our software. I cannot offer you an estimate of when that may happen at this time, but I will follow up with you through this case to make you aware of any updates on this issue which become available.

If you have any additional questions or concerns pertaining to your Auctiva account, please feel free to let us know, and we’ll be happy to continue assisting you.

Sincerely,
Auctiva Support.

I would LOVE to use the CLOSED listing page for my item relists, revisions etc. However, am petrified to switch because of duplicate listing issues many had in the past. And obviously this would be a great place to edit listings, since they are closed makes sense it would be place to revise them? Guess I will continue doing it the longer way from saved.

Ed I had noticed the ebay pictures and thought it was something I was doing wrong and just had not taken time to write support, so glad you posted this.

To me this is something that should have been done yesterday! Auctiva??? Please most of us had rather have things like this done and fixed start to finish than new things that are fluff or tweeks to something that really already works. Especially since the new saved listing page is not fully functioning at this point with no estimated time when it will work 100%.

It is like they say a picture is worth a thousand words, and frankly since ebay is now giving pictures free and the zoom on them, we are missing out on a great feature for selling our wares.
lookandbuyme--so well said "a picture is worth a thousand words..."

ed--i actually cracked a smile over "thank you i am afraid of the answer"

All told, I have had the same response to at least three significant issues...that the functionality is not there now and might happen in the future. I appreciate the candor but at the same time i am so concerned that our needs to make our ebay businesses successful are on a backburner.
ebay folks have to be considered second class. How else can you explain the paucity of actual useful changes. Heck the one I mentioned and most of the others I have seen and mentioned would benefit financially the folks thats sell on ebay hence we would be less likely to have reason to complain/ask for things that are of use. If all the above were in place I for one really gladly pay more money. I understand you need to pay money to make money. the fact that they continue to ignore everyone's ideas and requests means they think they know better. Well one day they will discover they knew nothing
Well...you know. I am slow, very slow!! (hard to teach an old dog new tricks). Actually, I keep saying (to myself of course cause am old) am going to do from closed as I am SURE it is much easier. I keep waiting on it to catch up with the saved page.

I believe ebay was the foundation that auctiva was built on and started building from. Ebay is where they get most of their converts to commerce and is where they will get new converts to commerce that will do both as most commercers are doing now. (at least until their feet are solidly in place)

I do not think those who list on just ebay should be treated like we are from the other side of the tracks. As far as I am concerned ebay IS the tracks that should be keeping auctiva growing. Perhaps they get their commerce business from another source. If so I sure have not seen ads out there.

I guess we can wish and hope and one day all of our dreams will come true . .(ok some of them)

Thank You for the Reply That will Save a ton of time. Might want to have an artical in the Online seller news letter you send about this kind of stuff be available. Just a thought.
Thank You

there should be a link from the sales page or the closed listing page to the saved listing page or preferably to the image.

I agree but thought that would be asking way to much. Just a tick box seemed pretty easy to add.

The main thing we are all missing by only having 1 photo in ebays photo box is that it is optimized for mobile apps and zoom being just as important as more photos up there. Auctiva is cumbersome on mobile Flash issues ect....
Any Thoughts
