I uploaded an animated gif when I created a new listing in Auctiva, but it is not showing up in my Auctiva template. It was also not showing up in the Ebay listing. It just shows a white box.

I then revised my auction through Ebay by removing the image and then hosting it through my website. Now it shows up in my Ebay listing except for within the Auctiva template.

Can someone help me figure out how to get it to show in the Auctiva template? Also is the only place we can revise listings in Ebay?

Thank you.

Hi,

I looked at the ebay page source and tracked the .gif to this file:

http://img.auctiva.com/imgdata/7/7/2/1/1/0/webimg/124431485_tp.gif

It does show as a 250x250 white box when browsed, so I think it's a problem with the image and not the template.

Does the image appear correct in your Auctiva Image library, or is it also a white box? If it's there wrong, try REPLACE to upload the correct .gif and see if that fixes the problem.

OH..and when it's correct, clicking on that link to the image should have it show correct with a browser window.
It doesn't appear correct in the image list (just a white box), but when I click on the white box to view only that image it does appear correctly.

I tried to replace the image with a static jpg and this is how it now looks in my image library. The url still shows a gif:

14-skill.jpg

URL: http://img.auctiva.com/imgdata/7/7/2/1/1/0/webimg/124431485_o.gif

But when clicking on it, it still shows the animated gif in the first link and not the static jpg.

Maybe there is a bad time lag for replacing? Either image would be fine, I just want something to show. Smile

Thank you.
Intersting.....

The _tp.gif file is only 1217 bytes in size (checking its Properties).

The _o.gif file is 101046 byes in size and is also 250x250.

Hmmmm.....how about a little Revise listing work in ebay and substitute the _o.gif file reference(s) for the _tp file. That shouldn't be too tuff to locate in HTML mode. Smile

You can use ebay PREVIEW before you submit the revise to check results.
