Kick it back counter

I found no support case for:

Your eBay userId
Your Auctiva UserId
Your email address
or under your account when logged in.

You only get a counter if you select to have a counter. The easiest way to not get a counter is to select no counter.

I filed a support ticket through Sellathon. It's there. I selected NO COUNTER, and that stupic Kick It Back counter still showed up. Can't you read?

Oh, and you completely evaded my questions.

Why are you posting here, listing here, and selecting no counter here, but then filing the support case with Sellathon?

I didn't avoid your question. If you select no counter you get no counter. The only way we add a counter is if a counter is selected.

I'd suggest checking your profile and making sure your counter setting is off and then revising your running listings if you'd like to remove the counter.

I have checked invisible counters, but they've never been invisible. Not a huge deal... but the new ones are indeed huge and not working. It is a little frustrating.

Gee, I don't know. Maybe because Sellathon and Auctiva are connected? Maybe because even when I DO select "no counter" the Kick It Back counter ends up on my auctions anyway? Maybe because it's a big huge PITA to have to go into listings and remove the Kick It Back HTML? Myabe because I am getting no satisfactory answers no matter who I ask?

I'm curious~where in the world did you learn such fantastic customer service skills?

As for "KickItBack appearing within your listings, http://www.kickitback.com is one of the affiliate sites owned by our parent company the Auctiva corporation, and is basically a site that allows eBay buyers to earn up to 1% cash back on one's eBay purchases by initiating those purchases from the KickItBack site! The Sellathon counters are being re-branded as the "KickItBack" counters and you will begin to see this from now on.

So, Auctiva IS the place to come for answers, we just won't get any here.

I ALSO HAVE THE UNWANTED KICK IT BACK & SELLATHON COUNTERS IN MY LISTINGS. I ALSO CHOOSE THE NO COUNTER OPTION BEFORE LISTING. AFTER FILING A SUPPORT REQUEST I RECEIVED INSTRUCTIONS ON REMOVING THEM BUT FOUND IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO DO SO. ARE ANY MORE AUCTIVA MEMBERS EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEM.

I have always selected "no counter" -I am happy just to use an ebay counter.
Still, I have a kickitback counter on all my listings and anyone selecting to view my other items is directed to kickitback website first.
I am reconsidering continuing to use Auctiva if
I can't remove this "feature".
Is it just me or is Auctiva starting to get nearly as arrogant as ebay. Introducing unwanted features without notice and no obvious opt-out selection is a sure way of upsetting people.

if the kickitback counter helps keep the auctiva listing tools free im all for it, spent too much on ebays non free listing tools over the years

Im selecting no counter and it still displays the counter. I do not want a link on my page that takes ppl away from my listings.

I can revise the item on ebay and manually remove the link but this will be too tedious to do all the time.

Id rather pay for auctiva than have this link there.

On ebay UK listings are being removed [moderator: please see my post below as this is not true] because of the outside ebay link to 'kickitback'if they are reported by another ebayer according to a couple of threads on the Q & A boards.

This is a big problem what does Auctiva do about this before many of us in UK possibly lose our listings

What confuses me is the fact there is always and always has been a Link to Auctiva in my Listings anyway!
I have no problem with the Auctiva promotion as they are doing me a favour with their great Software. However, Kickitback was not asked for nor required by me. Just the Counter.

The other question is; How do I remove the damn Link? It doesn't show up in the Ebay Edit!

It does show up on ebay revise if you look at the html, easiest way is to use turbolister to revise your listings, you can just cut the icon out in design view.

Kickit back just seems to promote ebay sales so i dont see exactly why ebay would object to it, hopefully auctiva will talk to them about it.

I dont like it because it takes people away from my listings.

I've just done that very thing. The hardest part was deciding which bit to delete and which bit to leave in. I'm no expert with HTML but do know basics.
Anyone not sure should do a preview before hitting continue or you may destroy your Listing altogether.

I agree with your reasoning about what Kickitback is promoting but Ebay can be very quick to remove a Listing. However, I also wonder if this was the actual problem for the Auctions being pulled.
Also, I don't remember ever being notified about the new Counter.

i have over 400 active listings and everyone has the damm thing on them, so what am I supposed to do revise everyone????
Am not good with html and have no idea where to start so am installing turbo lister, not used it for years and will see if i can remove them that way
Cant afford to lose them all and e bay seem intent on getting rid of them

Everyone should just file a support request regarding this issue. I already have filed. Maybe if they quite a few---they will fix it quick!

If you don't want a counter select "No Counter." It does work correctly. I have verified through both the get "HTML" icon feature on the saved listings page and via preview.

I have not heard of any listings being ended anywhere. Sometimes an over zealous or new eBay rep makes a bad choice or liberally applies some rule to end listings. I don't know if that is what happened. Sometimes a seller interprets a generic ended email from eBay to mean it's something other than why it was ended. We'll have to sort this out with eBay if I can find someone who's got an email from eBay saying this is the reason.

AT the moment i am sitting manually revising over 400 listings as cannot afford to have any listings pulled due to this.
Can someone at Auctiva not contact eBay regarding this to clarify the situtation instead of expecting ourselves to try and find out if this is the case?
