Even though it's free, I believe it's unacceptable for the product not to work on a consistant basis, and to get so many conflicting reports as to what's wrong and how to fix it.

I was told that my scrolling window wasn't working last week, because I didn't use their Free Lister (along with other stuff that I won't go into here as it was a weeks worth of frustration), so this week I used their Free lister for these auctions even though some of the html would 'mess up' each time I would save it(Ebay user thebeadingtree):
Item number: 9723649770
Item number: 9723651301
Item number: 8934486266
Item number: 8934488570
Item number: 8934645275

My pictures are not loading in the scrolling window and I have two pictures on the Auctiva store that simply say "picture unavailable", even though I have ALL of my pictures used uploaded into my Auctiva Images folders. So I reported it to help and the same tech (who had been rather arrogant with me that week) said this is the problem:
===============================================
"Hello,
Yes, this issue will not be fixed for sometime, so our engineers recommend applying the html to your auction listings. Our engineers are currently working vigorously to finish our latest site release by eBay Live.
Thank you,
Auctiva Support"

==============================================

I thought that the html was being 'added' at the beginning of the auction when I used their FREE lister to post my auctions. I learned how to use it (even though it's not near as easy to use as Ebay's Turbo Lister 2!), so that I wouldn't have problems with my scrolling window.

And does he mean that ALL of the engineers are tied up with finishing their latest site release by eBay Live and therefor, can't be bothered with helping us????

Sigh, I told myself not to get upset over this because it is a 'free' program and I'm not upset over the program itself. I'm upset over the lack of customer service.
Yeah , I hear exactly what your saying. I doubt if they will ever fix the scrolling window issue. I have been having problems with it for a month now
and was told that it had been fixed. IT HAS NOT BEEN FIXED. It seems that Auctiva will say anything to get you off their back. Maybe it's time to pay for something that really works like it's supposed to.
I think I have been with every image host offered that deals with ebay and each one has some sort of problem.

I just keep Sdgallery as a back up and use them at the bottom of my auctions so that there is something for the ebayers to notice about my other auctions. But they sold out to InkFrog so I don't know what I am in store for with that company. I already heard they were raising the monthly fee

I like Vendio as they would scroll the same items as the to what the ebayer open to check out. If they were checking out my cassettes then the scroller would show cassettes.

Excuse the rambling as I pulled another all nighter meaning I didn't go to bed. My longest one was 6 days and 5 nights. I think I could have gone longer but my step-daughter told my grandson not to get in the car with me until I went to sleep so I finally gave in and took a nap. I felt good but since I am with him all day (he is home-school here) I felt I better go to sleep just in case we have to leave for some reason.

Ouch .. just checked my auctions and my images are not showing and my showcase has about 5 in it and they are not showing. Darn!!
Ouch, I do feel your pain . . . oops sorry - it was MY pain. Frown

You know, when all their programs and servers are running like clockwork - I picture Auctiva as a very professional organization occupying suites in the heart of a stylish business park.

Ahhh, but then there are those dreaded 'Down Days' - such as today. I imagine three or four college dudes in faded pendleton shirts, consuming mass quantities of stale pizza and beer - while operating in a dusty loft over a detached garage somewhere in Chico.

Finally, from Auctiva's Job Line...

Title: System Administrator
Location: Chico, CA

"Experienced System Administrator needed.
Job responsibilities include maintaining and troubleshooting a collection of servers, building and testing both development and test machines."

Somewhere in Kansas is an unemployed IT guy thinking, "Hmmmm ~ this might be a rewarding career move!"

That's just a joke, Son! Cool

We disabled the store window feature earlier today because it was interfering with the loading of auction images.

The store window will be turned on again later tonight, at which point, the image loading speed should increase=)

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the update...do you have any idea how late though? I'm not complaining, just curious! (It's after midnight EST, and I still have no store window.) I'm not going to do anymore tonight, but will try again in the morning.

Have a nice night,
Kim
