From the auctiva Known Issues Drop Down Box on Customer Support
"We are currently receiving reports from several users indicating that the gallery images are not showing up on eBay search results pages for some recently posted listings.

In all of the cases of this nature we have reviewed, the header/gallery image URL was correctly submitted to eBay with the listing(s) and was showing up in the header image slot.

Therefore, there appears to be a technical problem preventing eBay from generating the image copies that are displayed in the gallery, at least in a timely fashion.

If you currently have listings which exhibit this problem, please contact eBay's customer support team for further assistance. We regret any inconveniences this issue may be causing."

Hi curbtrader3,

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. While I understand that this issue is a major concern for our users, this problem does lie on eBay's end of things and their technical team will have to resolve the problem. As mentioned in the known issue you referred to, eBay does have the header/gallery image URL's on file for these listings but it not displaying them in the gallery area for some reason.

We have since compiled several examples of this behavior and opened a support case with eBay's Developer Support team to make sure they are aware of the problem and hopefully it will be resolved in the near future. However, I still feel it would be prudent for anyone encountering this problem to report it to eBay's customer support team as well.

I am not sure if there is anything that can be done to repair the gallery images in these listings before the root cause of the problem is addressed, but I will keep the posts about this issue on our Community Forum updated as additional information becomes available.

Hi curbtrader3,

We just received an update on this issue from eBay's Developer Support team and they have assured us that this should no longer happen with new listings posted after this point. However, unfortunately, they also informed us that they likely will not be able to do anything to create these missing gallery images in bulk.

However, I have heard comments from a few users who have contacted eBay about this suggestion that eBay's technical team is working on the problem, so perhaps they will be able to come up with a method to fix these images in bulk based on reports from users.

If you have a relatively small numbers of listings that are missing gallery images, you should be able to correct the problem in those listings fairly easily using the eBay tool that can be accessed using the following link: http://cgi5.ebay.com/ws1/eBayI...ayGalleryImagePageV3

If you have a large number of missing gallery images and it is not feasible to fix them using this tool, I recommend contacting eBay's customer support team to see if they have any more efficient solutions that can be used on a case by case basis.

I will keep you all posted if I receive any new information about this situation.

Hi dalmatian_attic,

Thanks for keeping us posted on your observations. However, I just reviewed your eBay search results page and I am able to see gallery images for all of your listings that are still active so I am not sure which of your listings you have experienced this problem with since I updated this thread last.

If eBay continues to be unable to generate gallery images for new listings you post moving forward, please let us know a couple examples of listings for which you encountered this problem by filing a support case from the "Help" tab on our site.

-Mike
