After I have worked for hours I will ask the question. I have been trying to get my listing to be directly under my ebay store header so customers won't have to scrool over to see my entire page. I know I am being picky, but it drives me nuts! I have tried everything I know. There are some listings that I have seen with Auctiva both ways, some line up directly under the store header. Is it my store categories box that pushes my template over to the side?? If so, how do I remove it from my listings without taking it out of my store?? I have tried moving my store (flashing) window to the bottom, below my shipping info. nothing works! I did not have this problem until I opened my ebay store. Thanks for any help.

Hi vintagelady!

Yes, it is the store categories box on the left that pushes your template over. I hate having to scroll over as well so I have this turned off on my listings. Just go to "Manage My Store" in ebay and then click on "Listing Frame". Under "Listing Frame Features", you probably have "Show my store listing header and left navigation bar in my listings" chosen. Choose "Show my store listing in my listings" instead. This will not take it out of your store, just your listings.

As for your store window, you can put it below your description on all new listings by going to the "Store" tab in Auctiva and click on "Edit Store Window". Here you can choose what type of window you want and where you want to have it placed (above or below the description...I have mine set below as well). Just don't forget to save your changes! Smile
As for current listings, you have to go in and take out the html in the listing and then put in your store html in at the end of the listing. A little tedious but if you really want that window, that is how it is done. I have some windows removed from some of my listings as I have not gotten back to revising them all yet. But at least anything new will have the window where I want it.

Hope this helps....let us know if you encounter any more problems!

Thank you so much. You are one of the stores I went in that the listing was so nice! Glad you responded to me. You can see one of my listings 6289341531, I have been keeping my description to the left side trying to help the problem. Some of my listings 6289336630 would come up without the bar so I wasn't sure if taking it out would help. Now I can get this fixed. I will try later today to list something. Thanks again Sandy
Thanks Sandy for compliments! It is very kind of you. Wink

I looked at both of your listings and you know, you can put your some of your store categories into your listing header like mine are. I don't know how you feel about that...some folks do not like their store headers "cluttered" but I hated having a box to the left of my listing. I think you can only put in maybe 4 or 5 categories just enough to tempt people to come into your store.

Let us know if you have any more problems or questions!

I looked at your store also Rick, it looked great! and I knew there had to be a way to fix my listings. Not sure why they don't account for the categorie box, most listings I look at you need to scroll to see it all. Marcia, I like the options you have on your listings that still gives buyer another place to go in your store quickly. I would need help with that! I tried for days to get my logo in my header, even had an ebay rep. help me and we still could not get it. I just decided to make it large and leave it below, when I got it done I liked it so it has stayed that way. I love Auctiva it is easy to use. I may even try making my own template sometime! I would love to have one for the holidays. I am just trying to get more in our store and getting it the way we want before fall. I just need things straight!! Thanks for you help
Sandy,
You can add some more features to your store header if you want to, it is very easy!

Just go back to the Listing Frame under Manage my Store and scroll to underneath where you changed the box on the left to no box. See where it says "Store Listing Header"? Here, I have every box clicked on and then on the bottom you can set up direct links to your store's categories. Then just click on apply when your done. If there is something that you do not like how it looks, just go back to Listing frame and unclick on it.

Hey if you decide to give this a try, let me know if you need any help. I really like your listings too...very neat and not cluttered. You also take very nice pictures...do you have a photo cube?? I love those!

Holler if you need help....or feel free to give me an email at my ebay store.

I wonder if it would be possible to create templates that incorporated/imported a store owner's category links within them?

We are currently doing the research to see how we could incorporate these store categories inside of the templates in the future. Just thought I would let you know we are looking at ways to improve the functionality of templates to match what eBay has to offer.
