I smoked for 17 years (started when I was 13), quit cold turkey, one of the toughest things I ever had to do. After that many years, it became part of my self-image, it was very hard to give that up.

I started July 4th when I was 18, using cigarettes instead of punks when we ran out. My parents were there and my sister and brother in law gave them to me.
