Where does this blog end up after it is written?
They show on your Auctiva store on the blog tab:
http://store.auctiva.com/yourAuctivaUserIdHere

quote:
Who reads it?
People who find what you write about interesting.

How does it help sales?
If you give useful or interesting information on the types of items you're selling, maybe news tidbits, or other types of info that buyers might like that buy your types of items they might become readers of your blog.

Where are some examples so I can see what it is like?
There are literally millions of blogs on the internet. Search for a topic that interests you and the word blog on Google. i.e. "New York Yankees Blog"

I would like to re-state Palmtree's question. I did not gain information from the replies given.

In trying to view my blog, I can only view "my" view of the blog. I would like to see a view of the blog as others see it. Please tell me how by giving me a url to view.

Is the blog attached to our ebay listing in some way? That was my understanding while I was creating the blog.

Thank you
Hi Palmtree. I hope you accidentally found the answer to your question because I was wondering the same thing. I gained a clue, but not an answer, from a reply to another posting I made.

You can view your blog outside of the site by going to: http://store.auctiva.com/palmtree (or whatever you have named your store.). There you can read your own blog. Now, you can create a link to it to post wherever you want.

That is not the answer to your question, in other words, who else is likely to see the blog, or what is the purpose of it. Someone has to either search for it, stumble upon it, or link to it, I do not understand how much this is going to help with selling unless we create our own links in our ebay listings.

Anyone, if there is something I am missing please enlighten me, because I like the idea but I don't want to waste time blogging if it is just floating "out there" unlikely to be found.

Thank you again.

I've probably not been doing this much longer that you have but let me see if I can help a bit. First off, nobody sees nothin' unless you point them to it. The days of "post a blog and they will come" are severely over and it's unrealistic to think otherwise. A blog is a fair amount of work but it pays off in the long run if, as was said above, you're interesting and informative.

No offense to the hardworking folks that run this fantastic site, but the blog offered by Auctiva is not the greatest thing since sliced bread. It IS a perfectly serviceable "blogging" tool and as such becomes one more avenue to expose your products, but it has limitations as you'll find if you use it for any length of time.

If, as you say you're serious about blogging in it's own right and "don't want to waste time blogging if it is just floating "out there" unlikely to be found" I might suggest you try google's ( Blogger.com). It's free and it gets good exposure, at least from my experience. You can do all kinds of nifty little things like slides shows, RSS feeds of your eBay listings and other stuff and it's a link that you can post everywhere and be (fairly) proud of.

If you get to the point where blogger doesn't do it for you any more, you can graduate to WordPress. It seems to be "the" bloggers tool. If you end up finding yourself being more of a blogger than an entrepreneur, there's where you'll likely end up.

Take heart Newbies - there is no silver bullet. If there is one in the grand scheme of things, it's Auctiva. It is NOT the best blogging available BUT... the tools they provide for free make SO much else possible you'd be foolish not to discern which of those they provide serve you.
The question above STILL has not been answered ... unless maybe there IS no real answer to this very legitimate question...if Auctiva has a blog, then where is the link to VIEW it first to SEE whether it might be of interest.
I have same question and found this link to learn same information, but it doesn't seem as though anyone has answered it yet.
NOT asking:
what is a blog?
where else can I blog?
testimonials about blogs, etc...
Just WHERE can Auctiva members see an actual example of a good blog sponsored through auctiva???
