Hello modestmouse,

It sounds like you may need to update that Java plug ins for your browser, Java just released an update yesterday which could be affecting this. Please be sure that your Java is up to date. You can check this at http://java.com/en/download/index.jsp - where there is a link: "Do I have Java?" under the download button, where you will be able to see which version you are running and update it if needed.

If the difficulty persists after you have updated your Java, please shut down your browser and then reboot your system prior to logging back in to your account.

If you need further assistance, please contact our Customer Support team directly from under the "Help" tab within your account and we will do our best to assist you.

I am having a similar problem on two different systems and three different browsers. After uploading I don't receive an error message. Instead, the page says uploads complete, but when I go to manage my photos they are not there.
I did receive a message prior to uploading the pictures, saying I needed to update Java, which I did. However, I then get a message saying my systems already updated. Same result: no uploaded images. I just started having this problem this evening.
On one of my systems, while using Chrome, the java upload platform failed to load properly - tried reloading 5 times.
Any suggestions besides turning both machines off and on?
Hello,
I have been having problems with uploading photos, changing fonts, changing color of font when I Internet Explorer and Mozilla. When I use IE# the screen keeps freezing up and telling me auctiva.com not responding. Is anyone else having all of these problem or just some of them. I have just about had it and ready to cancel and go to another company. I am using IE and Mozilla on Ebay and having no problems at all, so therefore, I feel it is a bug with auctiva????
Hi CaptainHammer,

I am not aware of any current issues that would cause you to encounter the behavior you described while using the latest version Java (Version 7 Update 45), but we have received some reports of that nature from users who had not yet installed the latest Java update so I am curious if some aspect of your Java update did not go properly.

If you are still encountering this behavior, I recommend uninstalling your current version of Java (even if it is the latest) from the “Uninstall a Program” area within your Windows Control Panel and then installing the latest version from the following page:

http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp

If the issue persists once you have reinstalled the latest version of Java in this manner, please contact our Customer Support team directly from under the “Help” tab and we will be happy to continue working with you on this.

Hi Luvu4evason,

Although a number of users have reported some difficulties using the Auctiva Uploader recently (particularly since the latest Java update), I am not aware of any current issues on our side of things that would explain the specific behavior you have described encountering when using the Internet Explorer browser.

I also do not have enough information about the behavior you are seeing when you attempt to upload images through the Firefox browser to know what may be causing the difficulties or offer any potential solutions, but I'm sure we could get to the bottom of that through some troubleshooting.

The only aspect of how our description editor behaves which may create the impression that your fonts and sizes are changing sporadically is that, if you have customized your formatting and you use the “Backspace” button to get back to a previous line, the formatting will be reset to the default.

However, that particular behavior is expected for the editor and I do not currently anticipate that is something we will be able to change.

In any event, I see that you have already opened a support case about these issues, so please continue to follow up with our Customer Support team through that case and we will do out best to assist you with these issues.

Hi whppdhubby & LRC-Tom,

I'm sorry to hear about that you are having trouble uploading images as well. If you continue to have trouble with the uploader, please contact our Customer Support team directly from under the “Help” tab on our site and we will do our best to help you out.

I cannot necessarily attribute the difficulties you are experiencing to any widespread issues on our side of things, but hopefully we can assist you once we have gathered some more specifics from each of you individually.

Hi

sorry the below does not always work
sorry for the earlier post Full-Screen does not always work. hopefully what I have found will led to a solution at some future date

The uploader mess finally affected me. I happened to see a Red Error message that disappeared I captured it and have submitted a detailed support request

I played around and below is something that worked for me as a work around for now.

When the Uploader screen opens make it full screen before you do anything else
Next pick your pictures as you always have
Lastly press Upload and hope

It worked 3 times in a row for me that way. Please note you can’t have tried an upload with the default screen that pops up and than make the screen full-screen as that will cause the same red message to appear.
