I am hoping someone can help me with this. I am a complete novice so please excuse any seemingly dumb questions Smile
I have just opened an ebay store. I am having problems getting my Listings to appear in my ebay store categories. I set up my ebay store categories then I listed stock. None of the stock I have listed has gone into my categories. It has been a couple of days now so I know it is not just ebay updating their site. I have contacted ebay support twice, but despite being nice, were no help. They have said I need to put the listings into my categories when I first list them or do it manually. When I said I listed through Auctiva they said I would have to contact Auctiva. I have looked carefully at my listing templates and can find nowhere where there is the facility to put the listing into categories. I know this is a long winded message and I appologise for that. I am just stumped and frustrated. I hope some expert out there can help me with this before all my hair is gone Confused

No expert here but hopefully I can help. And there's no such thing as a dumb question. Smile Not long winded at all... you've given lots of details... that's a good thing. I think I'm the queen of long winded posts. lol Now stop pullin' your hair out and tell me if you've tried this yet. Wink

From what you've said, all I can figure is that you need to update your store categories. If you haven't done this, go to My Account, eBay Settings and Update Store Categories. Then when you create a listing, check the Store Item button at the top (which you obviously know), and the category options appear in a drop down below the main category boxes.

When you change your categories on eBay, they'll need to be updated on here this same way.

I have now changed them and have just listed another item, which has now gone into my ebay store categories. I can't tell you how happy I feel to have this solved Big Grin To me you are an expert!!! I just checked the eBay account you have on file, and it doesn't appear to have a store subscription on eBay. The main issue you may be having is stated in the API error messages you are receiving from eBay:

"Sellers with a feedback score of less than 5 may only post within Australia when using the Fixed Price format. Therefore you must return to Step 4 and choose either “will post to Australia only” or “Local pick up only” in order to sell your item via the Fixed Price format.

Please note that only members registered on eBay.com.au are eligible to use the Fixed Price format with less than 5 feedback"

If you believe you are supposed to have a store subscription, you will have to contact eBay support to find out what is happening with that.
