I've found it virtually impossible to list for the past few days. I LOVE Auctiva, and don't want to go elsewhere...but this is my livelihood.
pocomo, I read that post from Auctiva. What caught my eye was "relatively small subset of our users ". Not sure I like being referred to as a Subset or what that actually means but if it's those of us that are unable to use Auctiva anymore then I guess I'm a member of the "Subset"!
yes.. its not about being slow, its that there server is not working correctly, with many different errors, timeing out, bad server request, photos wont upload, getting these gray box errors, then sometimes it works, but when it does work, it has taken me over an hour to post one listing on ebay, yea it is so frustrating, i sent in all kinds of emails to advise them of each error, they stated to turn off my ebay toolbar, and turn off my firewall, dont understand why now all of a sudden i need to turn them off when 2 wks ago i didnt have too. i refuse to turn off my firewall to accomadate there issues. this is getting old, time to look for a new site i guess. good luck all
tomas...I also read the post from Auctiva regarding the multitude of problems with the site lately..and you're right we're actually referred to as a 'subset'. I will indeed remember that as I ride off into the 'sunset' with my 'subset'...
Hi Community,
Update - Our IT team located the problem that was likely accountable for the behavior described in this thread last night and made some changes to our server configuration that we expect will prevent these errors from occurring. This has also been posted on the following thread in the "News" section of our forum: https://community.auctiva.com/e...081020411/m/64610418

Great! I just listed an item and encountered absolutely no problems. Fast & Smooth. I guess (hope!) I am no longer a member of the "Subset" Thanks Auctiva.
I can't believe it! Been working for 2 hours w/o a problem!!!!
The part of the above post that says:

still bugs me because they're acting like they "just found out about it!" last night, and like they fixed it ASAP when that is not the case - they ignored our complaints for a whole week before they took any action.
But for this hour, I'll be grateful it's working as should. Not going to stop pasting my new descriptions into Word though so I don't lose them. It's happened before this week and I'm sure it will happen again.

Well, unfortunately, I guess I am still part of that "subset" because I am having as many problems as ever - nothing has changed - sometimes I can't even load the site! Unfortunately I am going to have to look for an alternative, this is just too slow, and there are way too many error messages. Makes me sad, I have loved it here.
Had the same problems plaguing me, now cannot input item description because editor gives error message every time i open a saved listing (tried multiple ones). Also, I am unable to crop pics. I don't know what's been going on lately, but I seem to be having an inordinate amount of trouble using auctiva (myself and my customers as well).
And I've filed 2 cases in the last month or so with a pretty slow response time, maybe it's too early in the morning (I'm in EDT). Hope this is fixed soon.

I'm fairly new to the message boards but have been reading them lately as I am having problems as well but somewhat different. I do see the slowness but I am having trouble getting the auctions to post to eBay. If I schedule the auctions only about half make it to eBay and the rest are rejected with the error saying i am accepting unauthorized payment methods. Not true, as I have edited all of my listings and profiles. Often I have to 'post' an item as many as 6 times to get it to go to eBay. It finally does go without me making any changes - just punching it over and over. Anyonw else seeing this? Thanks
Hello! rparr52, I checked a few of your listings on eBay, and saw that you have "Immediate shipment with Money Order or Paypal" in your item description, which may be the reason some are getting rejected by eBay. Hope that helps and good luck with your sales!
Thanks. I'll try removing that - forgot it was in there. I thought they just checked the defaults. Because all of my listings passed the 'error check' at Auctiva.
Hi there rparr52, that's defintely the problem. ANY reference to money orders or checks is flagged by ebay and your listings will not post. I found out about a month ago as I was having the exact same problem. I had one reference to money orders and once I changed that, all listings posted immediately.
Oh yeah...the site appears to be back to the old speed for the last 12 hours or so on my end. Thanks...from the subset...
Thanks to Auctiva Rebecca and kidlongshot!! Took out that one reference in the wording of my listing and everything has been fine since. Thanks! Guess I should have posted to the message boards a week ago. Would have saved a lot of time and frustration. THANKS AGAIN!
LOL here we go again....see my new thread.
