I'm writing my listings and all is OK exept the templates aren't available, not just my stored one but all of them and there's an error message - what's up? is it just mine?

It's not just you. The templates are hosed (that's a technical term).
They've been sucked out of my listings and attempts to reclaim them get the following error message: An error has occurred during the processing of your request. Please try again or file a support case if this problem continues.

Same here - I get up early to do listings and voila! The story of my life.
I wonder can I still creat listings, add the templates later and then load them to the bay?

Same here, they aren't working, this gets so aggravating after awhile.
Oh well - I'll list them without the templates and hope that I can slot it all together later....pleased that it's not just me then!....Gillian

THIS...doesn't happen often. But a variety of issues happen pretty often. It's still a great free service but sometimes it drives me nuts. If you're not patient...or are a Type A personallity, you could get a bit stressed.

That's exactly what I did - make the changes now then checkback later to see if templates are fixed and if necessary, to re-add them to the listings.
To everyone else: Yeah, software bugs suck however the number of error-free days greatly exceeds the sucky days so I can live with it.

Our engineering department has been m,ade aware of the error message being thrown by the template selector page and I will post again to this thread when I have further information as to when it will be resolved.

OK... me too. And I also decided to simply create listings w/o a template (no biggie, right?). Although, I just started using the "Seller Preferences" feature (e.g., payment, shipping, contact info), which can't be used without having a Template selected. (STILL, no biggie, right? Just cut and paste that info into the Listing Details section). WRONG! (wah!)
Here's what my problem is... (and if anyone can help, I shall be forever grateful)...
The Editor has been kicking my butt! Whether in "Design Layout mode" or "Full Screen mode", the listing detail section looks GREAT, but when I Preview the listing, it's a COMPLETE MESS (just scrambled! Stuff that is at the top displays at the bottom, middle, or scrambled throughout, etc.). I mean like the entire thing is just FUBAR!!!
HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS TYPE OF PROBLEM WITH THE EDITOR? I can usually fix it eventually just by messing with it until it straightens out. Recently, though, it's been so frequently screwed up... which prompted me to start using the "Seller Preferences" feature. ANJIE - I have had the same problems lately, not just the 'scrambled descriptions' part, but also, when I'm creating a listing, the screen freezes up when I try to POST, I have to open a new window, get back into Auctiva, copy/paste everything, then sometimes it will POST on that second try.....ALSO, quite often when I've posted my listing, the descriptions are COMPLETELY GONE !!
I understand your frustration, when I actually find some time to post listings in between taking care of busy toddler, I have these 'little' setbacks (no templates ??) Grrrr.....

Thanks for your reply. It always somehow feels better to know it's not just me! Also, your last comment about disappearing descriptions AFTER posting... I haven't had any completely disappear, but MANY times after posting (even though they look PERFECT in "Preview")... the format/appearance of the actual posted listing in eBay is WAY different! I hate that, 'cuz it looks like I'm SLOPPY! (and I am actually -- probably too -- meticulous about the appearance of my listings).
ANY OTHERS WITH THE SCRAMBED EGG PROBLEM???? ...or the format changes (between Auctiva's "Preview" and eBay's actual listing after posting)?
Any ideas what to do to alleviate the problems (& frustration). It's not an urgency... but it is a bummer!

To eliminate the brower problems I use IE and Firefox simultaneously. I creat everything in firefox and save it. Then I open the listing with IE in order to add my prefilled information from excel for the description. It will usually save with out a hiccup then I post using Firefox.
Few extra steps but pretty quick once you get into a rhythm.
