WHY, WHEN I CREATE A LISTING AND "PREVIEW" IT, IT LOOKS FINE, BUT THEN AFTER I SAVE IT AND PREVIEW IT (OR LIST IT TO EBAY) ALL THIS

SHOWS ALL OVER MY DESCRIPTION? I CONSTANTLY HAVE TO WASTE MY TIME AND GO BACK IN AND DELETE ALL THAT JUNK. I'M ONLY USING AUCTIVA'S HTML EDITOR, THE NORMAL WAY! Can they just program their program correctly once and for all?????????

I'm sick of wasting my precious time due to THIER GLITCHES when I COULD BE listing other things, making more money! ugh! i am so fed up today!!!

...and it's still happening...

I'm glad I found this thread, because I thought I was going crackers when I looked at one of my listings on eBay - the item description was all in html!

"You saved it in html" said Auctiva when I reported the problem. While I thought this unlikely as I avoid html like the plague, I went along with their fix (which didn't work anyway) and carried on (after working out for myself how to correct it).

What a surprise - I found another listing on eBay the other day where the same thing had happened!

Now I know that this listing looked OK when it arrived on eBay because, ever since the last problem, I've been checking every single listing that goes live.

So, somehow, the Item Description has transformed from text to html with no input from me. Doubtless Auctiva will say it's an eBay problem, and eBay will say it's an Auctiva problem, BUT will somebody please sort it out.

Not to play devil's advocate here, but if the listing looked ok on ebay one day, then it looked messed up a few days later on ebay, then it's ebays problem. I believe that once you send a listing off to ebay, it's out of Auctivas' hands (or whatever listing service you use) and they don't have anything to do with the listing after that.
Now if you make a listing and you had copy/pasted in the description, then you could end up with messed up code when it goes to ebay. This happened to me too, and I realised it was because of copy/pasting from word. aside from that, I have been quite pleased with this service.

Sorry I can't offer you any advice, but I would take it up with ebay. of course they will pass the buck and blame someone else (this is ebay afterall!) but considering all the technical issues they have had lately, I'm certain they probably had something to do with it. I honestly don't know how else it would get so distorted without ebay's help.

Nap time--too much turkey!

Are these new listing's or existing that you are revising?

The   is a space, the other thing that I do is when I paste into Auctiva I select all in html and delete it then I paste it in standard mode from notepad.

I have seen this when I get lazy and paste from old listings but not once I have posted a clean listing.

I will pay more attention to this to see if I can nail this down as I have only seen it in a few listings of mine.

Have you put in a support ticket?
I know exactly what causes this as it drove me mad for several weeks.

You are using your back browser to go back to other sections of your listing this is what is causing the problem.

I dont know anything about the technicalities as to why this happens. I just know that when I used the proper page links rather than my back browser to go back to other sections of the listing the problem stopped. LOL! took me a while to get used to it as I am an addict for using the back browser!!

Stop back browsing it should stop this very annoying problem.
