TITLE NOT CHANGING ON LISTING TEMPLATE

There is a drop down box across from where you choose template. One option is to use same as title. I don't know the exact words without opening a listing but that is where to fix the problem.

There is one drop down box there for master details. The other is a pop up box if you click on it that says title and template title do not have to match. On most of my listings though when i fill in the title at the top it automatically changes in the template box to match. I have matching gallery checked but I can
t find anywhere else you set it so the template and titles match. Sorry if i am just being dense.

If the box that says template title has something different than your listing title, just erase it and make sure you have the box below checked for matching the title.

Thank you. I guess i will just have to double check that it matches every listing. I never had any trouble with it til recently so i am redoing all my saved listings that i use to sell similar off of so if its something in one of them it will not happen. I use saved listings for each category because i sell patterns and some are crochet, some plastic canvas, etc. It's easier to just go in and make one of each and then most of the details are already there such as category, etc. I thank you for your time.

I would like to point out some additional information that may clear up what is happening here. When you are creating a new listing from an existing saved listing and you change the content of the "Title" field, the "Template Title" field should automatically update only if the "Template Title" and "Title" field were the same on the existing saved listing.

If you are creating a new listing from an existing saved listing for which the "Template Title" and "Title" fields do not match, the "Template Title" field will not automatically update to reflect the changes you make to the "Title" field because the system assumes that you do not want the same text to appear in both of those places.

If you have a saved listing that is exhibiting this behavior when you create new listings from it, you should be able to resolve that problem by revising that saved listing to make it so the “Title” field contains the same information as the “Template Title” field. Once you have done so, the “Template Title” field should automatically update to reflect the changes you make to the “Title” field when you create new listings from that saved listing.

Thank you. I will do that. i always use the same titles on both so the situation is that i will contact suppoet again on this issue. Can you shed some light on why the master details by the template selection sometimes blanks out and you can't select it? I have learned to watch for this as i had listings go thru without all my sellers details. When it does happen I save the listing and then go in and continue editing same listing and it is clickable then.
