Virus on Auctiva?

We've found and removed the problem and now we're wiping the servers clean and rebuilding them with the operating system and website. Kevin has a post in the News forum. We should be back online around 2:30-3am Pacific time.

THERE ARE MANY WAYS TO ADVANCE YOUR LISTINGS ON EBAY DURING THIS TIME. FEW SUGGESTIONS. TAKE NEW PICTURES ( MORE THEN LIKELY ALL THE STUFF YOU HAD PICTURES OF ANYWAYS.. WAS A BUNCH OF CRAP ( LOOKING AT MY OWN) DIG A LITTLE DEEPER. CREATE FEW BOXED LOTS. GET INTO PICTURES & USE THE NEW OPTION DROP DOWNS THEY PROVIVED ON THE LAST UPGRADE BEFORE CRASH. THEN THEY WOULDNT HAVE TO STORE SO MUCH OF YOUR 'CRAP PICTURES THAT SOLD MONTHS AGO' (INCLUDING MY OWN) TYPE SOME DESCRIPTIONS & EMAIL TO SELF/PASTE @ PRIMETIME. VISIT A LOCAL CHARITY THRIFT STORE & LOOK FOR A BETTER TREASURE THEN YOU WERE GOING TO LIST ANYWAYS.(MONDAYS THE BEST DAY TO LOOK)~WRAP & SHIP SOMETHNG MORE THEN LIKELY LAST WEEK ITEMS ENDED SHIP EARLY FOR ONCE~ ANSWER EMAILS & LEAVE FEEDBACK~HIT A MESG BOARD IN COMMUNITY AREA & CHAT THERE FOR A BIT ON EBAY SITE. GIVES YOU GREAT EXPOSURE AS IT SHOWS (LISTINGS LING) ON POSTS.~ IF YOU SELL ON EBAY. IS A NEVER ENDING VISCIOUS CYCLE THERE IS ALWAYS SOMETHING TO DO OTHER THEN LIST. MAKE YOUR KIDS COOKIES.. WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YA DID THAT (I MADE BROWNIES LAST NIGHT DURING CRASH, 15 YR OLD SON GAVE ME A HUG, ) TAKE THE DOG FOR A WALK.. SINCE HE DOESNT GET COOKIES.. TAKE A LONG HOT SHOWER.. I feel comfortable that this issue has been resolved but I do have a couple of questions. Should I be concerned about the security of my eBay and PayPal passwords and should I change them?

Hi Jack, if you ever have the slightest doubt your passwords have been compromised a couple of minutes changing them save days of doubt.

I use Firefox for browsing as well but I didn't start getting the warning until Sunday I think.

I think mine came up on Saturday? Big ol red screen of death do not proceed kind of thing...

You could always ditch Feebay and come on over to the light = Auctiva Commerce...there's a bunch of us over here, come away from the dark side ;-)

Come on, you should have your PC's adequately protected, it's naive beyond belief to expect your machine to be on the internet without being attacked.

Criminals can employ as many brains for their techy jobs probably with greater budgets than commercial companies, plus they know what thier malware does. Others have to decypher and reverse engineer it which takes far more work, very much akin to intelligence agencies decoding encrypted messages

I suppose in the USA you can walk out into a busy road without looking and sue the driver of a vehicle that hits you which was being driven safely within the speed limits. So sad !

Seems the McAfee AV I used wasn't up to it, neither was M$ with thier buggy IE, yet it seems the free AVG and the lower priced Kaspersky that I just happened to be installing a few days later found it ok.

So you do not need expensive AV/Firewall software, seems the free Firefox wasn't affect either !

And remember Auctiva is free, so it costs you nothing, so a little hiccup occurs, so what just think of the money that will have been saved rather than using greedbays high fee services.

The well-known anti-virus software company Kaspersky had their database HACKED just a couple of weeks go!

You would assume that an anti-virus/malware/spyware company would be able to keep out the hackers? Guess not.
