Can anyone help me out with what I'm doing wrong?

I've been selling on Ebay for some years, and this is my second week in taking the plunge with Auctiva. While I like the features that the system seems to offer, I struggle with huge formatting problems when doing my listings! Fonts, type size, spacing changes are not recognized, the listing preview has type in the wrong place, and looks terrible...listing description has various fonts, and type size from paragraph to paragraph, and/or line to line...when applying a background, it destroys the text format, showing blocks of random colour with bits of text in it...when previewing, I can't see my returns policy, so never really know what the listing is going to look like!

It's taking me about 4 - 5 times as long to do an acceptable listing using Auctiva (and that's only just acceptable, it still looks below average) than it was with Ebay...and I'm ready to de-register, but I want to like it here!

I'm using a very capable pc, but don't understand why thesse things are going so wrong?

Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance,
Richard

I've been using auctiva for a few months and it did take me quite a while to get used to it.

Normally the fonts and all that are OK for me, but I did notice today that in the preview it changed the font size quite randomly. When the post went live it was all OK, but didn't look much like the preview. I had quite a lot of pictures and so put the pictures on the right and the text on the left. In the preview both sides finished at the same place, but when it went live the pictures stopped way before the seller details text and looked a bit daft.

Hopefully this is just a temporary fault. See what other folks have to say, but you might need to raise a support request.
i am getting the same problem guys. no centering (i choose that every time by default, i think it looks neater) or free template (which again, i am doing, or using) helps in any way. some is showing nice and orderly, and in some sections, it just randomly DOESN'T.
My problem is within seller details, if i create a preview, in my "about us" section, it shows some writing just fine, but other random sections with black writing, or black background (my free template i chose has black background so this is not good). it makes most of the writing white to show, but just bits of it are black on black, and one section also has a white background around the paragraphs, looks like a beacon! when i went to make the background black, it was again, black on black, but a fraction lighter than template, so it looks dodgy as... you can see the crappy formatting.
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE REPLY? I would like an auctiva professional to help me please. i am not stupid and have gone thru most options of mucking around with the font, background, etc. it is a free template and centered. i do have some experience. it seems program related.
i really don't want to make some of my font white (the colour it should be on the template preview) just so it matches the rest of it, because that's just a band aid, not solving anything, and i want to be able to see my writing when i amend my seller details!
thank you heaps guys for being so friendly i must confess i was a bit aggravated after a few days. support did help me, i thank them also. basically this was what they replied with, hope it helps anyone else out there who needs it.

Copying and pasting a description into the Seller Details from Word can be problematic at times, because Word contains a lot of extraneous code that you don't see unless you look at the html, but which can cause conflicts with the display of the text. The best way to avoid this is to type the text in by hand, or failing that, to at least paste the text into a simple text file (such as in Notepad), and then paste it into the Seller Details. This should get rid of the invisible code that is generated in Word.

once again, thank you guys for being so kind to me, i can be a hothead when frustrated, sorry! i would put a smiley in here but they have no "sheepish" smileys! cheers!
