Hi littleshopoftreasures,

I was able to locate one of your listings that the scrolling gallery is missing from and determined that the scrolling gallery was not showing up because your description HTML contains broken scrolling gallery HTML. This broken scrolling gallery HTML prevents our system from being able to add a new one because it *tricks* our system into thinking a scrolling gallery is already in the listing.

This is not something that should happen as a result of normal listing behavior, but it comes about sometimes as a result of the scrolling gallery HTML being accidentally broken during the revision, relisting, or sell similar process.

There are two lines of code our system will check for before adding a scrolling gallery to a listing and, if it determines either of those are already in the description HTML, it will not be able to add a new one. These lines of code are as follows:

1) <!--ASW-->
2) function passpara(){return

If you were to remove any instances of either of these lines of code from the description HTML of any of your listings that exhibit this problem using eBay’s “Revise your Item” form and then contact our customer support team to let us know, we would be able to run a command on your account to add the scrolling gallery to those items.

I hope this helps.

Could you please tell me exactly what listing you were looking at? I can't find that. I also wanted to know if I can list an item in more than 1 category, because I am not able to on my listings. The first one will disappear. Thanks Janet

Hi littleshopoftreasures,

I'm afraid don't recall which specific listing I was looking at yesterday, but the situation I described should apply to any of your listings that the scrolling gallery is missing from. I just viewed about 10 of your active listings to try and find another one but the scrolling gallery was in each that I viewed this time.

I thought about posting the item number I was referring to in my previous reply but decided not to do so in case you did not want the rest of our community to be able to find out your eBay username.

In any event, if you look through the description HTML of one of your active listings that does not contain the scrolling gallery HTML and are unable to find either of the lines of code I mentioned, I recommend filing a support request about that and we’ll do what we can to help.

-Mike
