Are there? Are they all hiding? Are they all out to lunch? I began at 10 AM Michigan time. It is now 5:14 and I am shutting down my computer to let out my dogs and to begin an evening meal. I have lost oodles of money and time today not to mention a roaring headache from viewing this computer screen for too long. They must know what is going on and the only conclusion I can come up with is that THEY DON'T CARE. If they did they would COMMUNICATE WITH US.
Posted by Auctiva Jeff on the PAID SITE. Boy, he sure is telling them a bunch of hooey! We AREN'T HAPPY AT ALL. And WE DO WISH WE COULD LIST OFF-LINE!

We list upwards of 50x more on our new free service as our old one.

As long as the current group of loyal Auctiva Poster users stick I'll keep supporting it and updating it. It makes enough now to do that. Sales have been holding steady so it's looking to stick around. Unfortunately once eBay put out Turbo Lister our desktop software took a nose dive. People are willing to pay eBay the 10 cents for templates, 10 cents for scheduling, and 25-50 cents per listing for images. And eBay is able to market to sellers 1000x better than we can so they suck up the user base of sellers that want to use desktop software.

I believe desktop software is the way to go, but honestly it's 25x harder to get customers to use it than it is our web based lister.

If our web lister grows big enough we may someday port Auctiva Poster and Mr. Poster to work with the new free site and give our web users a chance to use the downloadable software too. So far though people using the web lister haven't been asking for that though. DSL is cheap, fast, and most people can get it now so using the web browser works almost as well and it's easier than figuring out software.
Are you kidding me?! How can they say we haven't been asking for that??!!! Confused Do they not READ these posts?? Several us have mentioned that we are willing to pay a few bucks for a DEPENDABLE service...I would prefer a desktop software compared to this online junk as I can work on all my listings and not have the headaches of 'sign in...sign in again' ...no images...no templates...not posting on time...total web crashes...

What the heck...if they (Auctiva) would COMMUNICATE with US about perhaps a Poll or something....they would quickly realize that a good percentage of us (those that do ebay as a business and not just a hobby) DO want a good program. The only reason I haven't gone to the desktop software Auctiva provides is cause it's "ugly"...no templates...pix options are horrid...it's waaaay too bland. If they'd jazz it up like the online version...I'd switch over in a heartbeat!!!!
hahaha....what, sick of the SNOOOOWWW already...LOL. yeah, that's one thing i don't miss about western ny....can you say "lake effect"....you hear the weatherman mention that and you know you're in for a 'wintery day'.

i'm in g-town...if you know what i mean....just south of charlotte....it kills me, these southern folk wouldn't last a day in buffalo, ny!! they close schools down here "in case" snow might come...it doesn't even hafta show and there's delays....LMAO!

but yeah, back to the topic at hand...i would soooo send the auctiva folks a few bucks a month for a DEPENDABLE, RELIABLE service....and please oh please auctiva diehards....do NOT respond with the "well it's free"..."no-one's holding a gun to my head" responses...i think aunt veronica has made some valid points on here with her points as far as "free or not" we DESERVE dependable service!
Sell-it-Now, I agree. We do deserve dependable service and most importantly, we deserve to have GOOD COMMUNICATION. If Auctiva is experiencing troubles, it wouldn't take more than a minute to post a message or an ALERT to let us know what is taking place and the fact that they are working on it. To just leave us in the dark to flail around like a bunch of dying fish is just not right. Not nice. Not dignified. I sure would save all of us a lot of frustration, anger, headaches, tension, crying, screaming, etc. All I ask is that they COMMUNICATE WITH US. After all...we are all in this together and can't be expected to be loyal or to act as a team member if we are left out in the cold. Eek
so yeah, where ARE the auctiva folks??? i've YET to see any posts by them at all today (10.23 or 10.24) about these issues. with the amount of postings the community has put on here, you'd "think" they (AUCTIVA JEFF or AUCTIVA MIKE) would RESPOND!!!!

but alas, mums the word from them.....we'd all "assume" they'd at least have the common courtesy of saying something....anything!!

but we all know what "assume" means don't we! ...and we've all been made a**'s of today (first part of assume if you get my meaning) since they obviously don't respect their members enough to simply post, a sentence or two, ANYTHING, on the "what's goig on with the site" issues of the day...

*sigh* Frown oh well, let us all just tuck our tails between our legs and just lie on the floor while auctiva walks all over us today Frown
Sell it now, Go back on the boards and look at all the Sundays or anytime they have had a crash and you will get your answer. They have been horrible about keeping people informed when things go wrong. You will also find the people that tell us whiners not to complain that this is a free service and Auctiva is doing a great job. Well, these part time sellers need to realize that we put alot of trust in this "world class company" as they say it, and every other Sunday or anytime they go down or take 3 times longer for updates, this cost us sellers alot of time and money, real bad when pictures do not show up on end of auction day. I have not seen them advertise this service to be for the small and occasional seller. I personally cannot complain about their support, I have always gotten a reply quickly, sometimes just generic but I did get it quick. They just need to learn to inform us on the boards occasionally, that would do wonders for us people freaking out that are stuff is not listing or no pics. I will say, when up and running right, Auctiva is a great listing service and easy to use. Thats all I have to say.
true, true rlfuchs.....communication is key. and i too love auctiva and the frills that come with it...it just gets so darn IRRITATING reading through all these stupid hate-mails and sometimes all-too-nasty remarks by some folks on here about the service.

i may have the same thoughts and frustrations, but all the negativity just gets the natives in an uproar. if auctiva would simply communicate and keep ups informed, these stupid forums would actually be more beneficial to the users trying to learn some tricks and trades to the software, rather than be...."let's go read the latest gossip in the forums"..it's truly gotten out of hand!

i just wish auctiva jeff and mike would realize the scope of 'not responding' has on the effects of its members. granted the forums are a place to communicate amongst its users, but they're NOT suppose to be open pages for junky comments.

you have one side of the name-bashing hatemailers who try to distroy this software group....then you have the opposite side of love auctiva lets hold hands and sing coombiya together (yeah, i'm sure i spelled that wrong - lol) and ask you to just rollover and take it where the sun-don't-shine because the software is free group. 2 definite extremes of course, but sadly that's all you read on here.

i'd like to say i fall in the middle of those users that truly enjoy working with this software, appreciate the efforts that auctiva puts forth in features and benefits, but find it disheartening when they (auctiva) won't simply reply to our concerns of functionality.

i go through these forums looking to see what's new and often answer other customers questions on "how to" issues...that's what the forums are for! a place for us to get together, share tips and ideas, and help the occassional newbie get started or to show your fellow seasoned user some tricks that you us e....not the name-bashing place it has become!

we get swept up in the name-calling every now and again, but come on folks, these forums have become gossip pages, not the useful resources they are meant to be!

*sigh* Frown ok, enough lecturing....lol. i'm off to work on some listings *hopefully* Wink and drink me a nice cup of cocoa as it's freakin nippy out...and i love it...reminds me of home *sniff, sniff*

so good luck to all....take a chill pill for those of you that need it...i understand and appreciate your frustrations, but getting this p-o'd only raises your blood pressure....lifes too short for that Smile
