I'm finding that the ebay listing fees are eating up all my profits. Is anyone using an ebay store and only listing some of their items on ebay and just listing the rest as "store inventory" with much success? I want to save money, but realize I need some listings to drive traffic to my store. However, I'm wondering if that will kill my sales. Right now, I cut down on my listings anyway....so, not all of my items are even being shown. Anyone have a successful formula to share?

Im new to eBay, about a month and 1/2 now, and I am so upset with the fact that I lost so much money, before I decided to get my store, and I know Im going to lose so much more before it becomes a success. I believe in business this is know as overhead cost, and Im not going to earn a profit untill I clear my overhead. Frankly its a low overhead, but its high when you dont have money to waste.

But back to the question, Im getting some traffic to my store, but i feel its more in line of window shoppers, and not buyers. I really just want one good Impose buyer, just one to pass by my store and buy like crazy.

I feel the main reason I havent already cleared my overhead is due mistakes Ive made, that I chalked up to experience, but these mistake made people pass me by, which sux.

I wouldn't use ecrater.com, I just saw a $900 Ps3, and I know no one on Ebay would buy that, but i do have a tool that you may want to use when deciding what to list http://www.terapeak.com/ it helps you reshearch items
tty2k7/winkelstore ,
I looked at your store, now I am not claiming to be an expert bt any means, and please do not take this in any bad way, but you do need to learn to use better descriptions in your titles,,,
example.. 2 Person Deluxe Kit
Buy It Now price: US $71.89 , but it does'nt say what it is,,, sorry , I would pass on that listing,,,

that should read more like this,,

2 Person Deluxe Hikers Backpacking Kit
Then people will know what you are selling for so much money,, I hope you understand what I mean , Tari of wi_angels_heavenly_treasures

Thanks, Im getting around to change that, the problem with that being I import the desription, the price, and any other details about the item from my suppliers site, and the 2 person Kits is in fact one of the better one. I tried to add my Terms Or Sale, that I would normally have in my Auctiva listings, to the suppliers description, but it all got jumbled up.

Now Normally What I would do if I didnt list with Auctiva is open Word, and copy and Paste my seller details from Auctiva, and add the Headers to each section, but lately eBay has been making that difficult, and every time I try to update the revisions it gives me an error measage. So what Im going to do is add custom Pages with all the sellers Details in it, if eBay doesn't give me an error. Other information I would add to the desription outside of sellers details, when listing off Auctiva is review from other sites, my personal review, and lately I haven't been feeling up to
Well, after reading most of your listings, they all looked pretty good, I'm sorry if you haven't been feeling well.

Is there any reason you guys are looking at going to ecrater? I just looked at it and they have some strange rules, if you list something somewhere else, your listing goes to the bottom of the catagory, you can't list anything that has to be ordered, etc. I like it here just fine, maybe I'm missing something.

BTW : Thanks for the heads-up about going to http://www.terapeak.com/ though, went there, it's great, even the free things you can find out.

Well Good luck to all of us new sellers, hope we all make a fortune !

I am new here and I was reading through some of the posts and comments on these boards for help. I have been on e-bay for a grand total of 3 days now!! LOL. I wanted to thank you for the heads up on terapeak.com I need all the help I can get. I guess I am a little lucky. I have five items listed and two are selling. Can't really say if they are really going to pay since it seems a lot of people are having trouble getting people to actually pay. Sooooo, only time will tell! But thanks for the heads up anyways.

Hi Bianca,

Welcome to Auctiva! Hope you stay around for a long tme.

I visited your eCommerce site and must say you have absolutely put together a beautiful and very full store. Congratulations!! Have you had your eCommerce site long?

You will find, as CCG said, everyone here, including tech support, to be very helpful and encouraging.

I notice you have posted your location as Fort Richardson, AK. Where is that in relation to Anchorage? I have a grand-daughter in Anchorage.
