Do you guys have to use a popup window, with the Get Html button? I've had this problem before. Pop ups are a pain in the butt, folks. I've got my Norton turned off, and for the life of me, I can't find anything else on my system that's blocking pop ups. I've tried the button in both IE and in Firefox, and the Popup never presents itself. And, no, holding down ctrl doesn't help either. I used to have problems editing saved listings a long time ago, and it turned out you folks had to change the naming convention of your URL. There was something in your URL that made some browsers block it. But, regardless, can't you just spawn a new browser session, or anything other than performing a Popup via the Get HTML ?

Ok, i like your idea.
So, I just downloaded Opera and got to Auctiva via that browser. Same thing. I don't get a seperate tab as you mention, either.

That tells me I've got something outside my browser blocking popups. I wish Auctiva would just dump the popups. They aren't neccessary, and enuf people complain about them.
if you would like me to have a look at it, will do so.

sometimes it just takes a second set of eyes to see what's right in front of you Wink

load up windows messenger (start/programs/Windows_Messenger or start/run and type in C:\Program Files\Messenger\msmsgs.exe ) and then IM me wayoutwestusa at hotmail.com

note: if you dont have an MSN or hotmail.com acct will have to create a hotmail addy in order to use Windows Messenger)

Once we're both online at same time, you can
click Actions/Ask_For_Remote_Assistance (or right click my name in window and then left click "Ask for Remote Assistance") this will allow me to see your computer's desktop (just like you see) and with your permission will let me move your mouse cursor around screen. You will see everything I do, and you will have power to kill the connection at any time.

I promise I wont do anything malicious. (and like i said, you can kill it anytime and will see exactly what i do) Donna, Lisa, and some of the others here have known me for awhile, so hopefully they will speak for my character Smile *slips each of them $20 under the table* Big Grin

I've now completely dumped norton from my system.

First and foremost, I would ask if you manually went into your registry and deleted Norton, line by line. Despite what Symantec says, it's almost impossible to completely remove Norton without doing so. Using the "Add/Remove programs" usually just doesn't cut it. I don't know which Norton product or release # you had (have) but if you do a Google search on "remove norton blah-blah-blah 2005" or whatever, you can easily find directions on how to completely remove the product, including getting it out of your registry. This is a "been there, done that" for me - not heresay.

The next thing that kept my "Get HTML" from not working was not having my firewall configured to let Auctiva run pop-ups. My firewall is "Zone-Alarm", aka "Computer Associates eTrust Personal Firewall", and about a zillion others and a zillion other pseudonyms.

If by chance you've got it, (which it doesn't sound like), when you look at the source code of any web-page you will see a line something like this at the end of the "<head>" section: "<script language='javascript' src='http://127.0.0.1xxxx/js.cgi?pca&r="xxxx, </script>" where the "xxxx"'s represent variable length strings of numerals. That's the giveaway that you have Zone-Alarm or one of it's repackaged siblings.

Hope this helps.
