So I recently scheduled about 200 listings to post. All came back with api errors saying the return policy is missing. Well when I click in the whole area is missing. I always list using the sell similar button and can't figure out why the return policy area is missing on these listings only.

Can anyone please help me and tell me if there is an easy fix.

Thanks for letting us know about this. There was most likely a Java Script error on the lister page when these items were created that interfered with the loading of the return policy section. Assuming that is the case, it should be pretty easy to correct.

In order to make the return policy section in these items show up, I recommend deleting the category number from the "Category #", pressing the "Return" key, then re-entering the category number in that field and pressing the "Return" key again.

If the return policy drop down menu still does not show up after you have done that, please contact our customer support team using the form on the following page of our site: http://www.auctiva.com/help/requesthelp.aspx

We have since received a number of other cases indicating the return policy interface is not showing up when the lister page is first loaded. We did not make any changes to our site around when this started happening, but our engineering team is looking into this and will have it resolved as soon as possible.

In the interim, if you are experiencing this problem, reloading the category in the listing creation page using the process I described in my previous post to this thread should make the return policy interface show up. When I mentioned" pressing the Return key", I just meant pressing the "Return" or "Enter" key on your keyboard.

I will update this thread to let you all know when additional information on this issue becomes available. Thanks for helping to bring this to our attention.

Update - We have just implemented a fix for this issue so you should now see the return policy drop down menu when you create new listings in categories for which the return policy option is available.

If you created saved listings while this issue was ongoing and the return policy interface is still not showing up in them, you will still need to reload the category as I described earlier in this thread to get the return policy interface to show up in them though.
