New to Auctiva

Hi eshop you are yet another victim of "arrrgh all my listings have dissapeared" please see all the posts reagrding this.

It happens once on join up, now you have been through the unneccsesary initiation of fire all should be well.

Apart from this Auctiva is a great site with plenty of help available from other users and a capable Auctiva support team.

I have done all my image hosting listing, relisting etc all on Auctiva for the last year and a half with no problems and highly recommend it. I would not spend as much time on these boards supporting others otherwise.

From what I see and in my opinion it is best to stick to eBay's checkout at present.

This sentence tells me you really ARE brand new to both sites...my advice is to read all the FAQS and take all the tutorials. It's still a little bit of trial & error. But remember one thing...Auctiva is a listing service, wheras Ebay is the selling venue. You can use Auctiva to host your auctions or just list directly thru Ebay.

Thanks for the help guys I had sorta lost track of the the thread.

My listings have come back.

I have made a few more listings via ebay NOT Auctiva ...they appeared in my auctiva toolbar on ebay ...then i revised the items ...changed pics but toolbar does not get updated ??!! why is that ...i have looked on the help form but no news .


can anyone tell me how to refresh the auctiva toolbar with the latest revision of my ebay listings ?

another problem i am having i have changed the colour of the toolbar some listings have the new colour others dont. Confusion!!

Hi eshop, presume you mean the scrolling gallery when you refer to the toolbar. It can take a few hours depending on when during the update cycle I think it is you made the colour changes.

The SG contents are updated at intervals automatically, cannot remember the interval though.

But regarding Sg and shop pictures.

The listing header picture is used in the SG and Auctiva shop if a gallery picture is not available. When listing from Auctiva a copy of the picture for use in SG and shop are retained sepearately for that use and changing the header/gallery picture once live on eBay will not change the one held for the SG and shop.

You need to file a support request to get them changed.

It is quite possible the same situation occurs when the header or gallery picture is picked up from an eBay live listing after being created elsewhere, e.g. on eBay or via Turbolister.

So filing a support request is likely again.

In order for Auctiva to be able to generate a scrolling gallery image for a given listing that was created outside of Auctiva, that listing must contain either a header or gallery images. If your listings use header or gallery images but we have not generated scrolling gallery images for them yet, please contact our customer support department and we'll be happy to help.

If your listings do not currently use gallery or header images, and you would like us to be able to generate scrolling gallery images for them, please add either a header or gallery image to each and then contact our customer support department to request that we update those listings to have scrolling gallery images.
