No Pictures. Clear Cache/Refresh?!??! Its a server issue.

I'll forward this post to our developers for them to read but I can assure you our image hosting servers are not down for 15-30 minute periods several times a day, nor is the site down for similar periods.

We just cannot afford to have our pictures not show in our auctions. This happens on my computer at home as well. I would be willing to pay for this service if it were more reliable. I've already put a lot of time into this, and I'm considering looking elsewhere for a listing manager.

I too am having this problem today June 3. It has been well over an hour since my pictures have loaded. I CAN NOT afford this. I have customers contacting me left and right wanting pics.

I went and cleared out my cache and cookies still having problem. Looks like I will find another place that will work. Can't afford not to have my pics not showing.

well in reading through past posts it seems that Auctiva is really bad at this image hosting issue. They don't respond to it quick enough it happens all the time.
I like so many other people would be happy to pay a few dollars to get this working consistantly. However, do you think that paying money is really going to fix the problem. I don't think they really care if it works or not. I am going to have to spend alot of time relisting all of my items with someone else however, in the long run I am sure it will be worth it.

Shame on you Auctiva for not caring about us!

Did you reboot?
Did you fill out a help ticket? I've always found that I receive a prompt response. You can't be guaranteed that Auctiva visits the boards as it states if you need help to fill out a help ticket. (top right)

Have you gone to the stickies on the top of the forum for trouble-shooting?

I've been with Auctiva almost a year and very rarely experience red x pizza boxes. I'm sorry you're having this problem.

Now it is June 4th and I still don't have pictures and haven't heard from any IT techs. Any suggestions other than dump this whole program.

perhaps there's an error in your pic files? could have happened when editing and could have happened when uploading.

can check all the image servers by going to https://community.auctiva.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/838609941/m/4511034421 if you see a car in each of the 5 images, it means the servers are working. if you dont see car in each, means either server is having probs or your puter is having probs.

and, are your pics jpgs? gotta be jpgs to work with auctiva.

Would my pics not show up in listings if I had deleted them out of my images? I just figured out the ones that are not showing are the ones I have deleted out of my images and the 7 days have past on the deleted side.

Oh yeah -- if they're not on Auctiva then they won't be in your listings.

I finally figured that out this morning. The next question is HOW do I put them back on my listings?

Good job Detective Rick, you've hit the nail on the head!

In order for Auctiva to host those pics for your auctions, the pics have to be on Auctiva to be hosted. Once they're deleted they aren't hosting the pics any longer so of course they won't be seen. Please note that you have unlimited hosting on Auctiva and there's no need to conserve space by deleting pics.

You have to reupload the pics to Auctiva. Never delete pics until the auction transaction is done. I never delete pics until the item has been delivered to the customer and we have satisfactorially settled the auction. And then still I wait a few weeks.

You'll have to reupload the pictures, sign into eBay. Alos have the Auctiva window open to your images. This way you can see the image names.

Revise your auction with the proper .jpg names.

I knew I hadn't had any problems with my images and I have almost 500 auctions up under one ID..so I was puzzled as to why you were having a problem.

I have uploaded them again into my Auctiva and tried to revise them and add images to the ones missing. they don't seem to want to work. Any suggetions?

You're going to have to replace the url for the old images that you deleted with the new url for the images that you just reuploaded.

Revise, find old name for the jpg, insert new.

Example: you would search for the name of the old image that is still in the html of the auction that's online with eBay. It will look something like this but not identical because it's in my file: http://img.auctiva.com/imgdata/0/0/6/4/6/6/webimg/5924424_o.jpg

take that out and then substitute with the new url whatever it may be.

Or another way to do it is to revise the item here at Auctiva with the new pics and save it. Then go to the Saved Listings page, tick the box next to the listing, then hit the "Get HTML" button at the top. Then take that HTML and plug it into the description box on eBay's revise page.

Just to let you know you are not alone. I have people email to ask where my pic are. When I check they do not load. Twenty minutes later they are there. I have spoken to Auctiva and had many a help ticket but the suggestions are to no avail. I can reboot clear the cache destroy cookies say hail mary's but no pictures. Then out of the blue there they are again. It has to be an Auctiva problem for so many to have the same problem. BUT in the meantime I lose customers. I know this doesn't help solve the problem...but you are not alone.

I have been having this exact problem for weeks now. At certain periods of the day my images do not load; Auctiva website is also down at the same time so can't check their servers with pictures of the cars. It happens to me around 18.00 GMT; I have a theory that because I am UK Based I notice it more as most users are asleep when it regularly happens. I have done everything I can with home PC, tested it on four other PC through friends work ect - STILL THE SAME PROBLEM! . I really don't want to have to move from Auctiva but my sales are down over 25% this month. Support don't seem to be able to help.
