Sorry to hear of your troubles. I've been using Auctiva for many months now, and I must admit I have never had the problems that other people mention. To be honest, most of the "problems" were of my own mistakes!

I don't know of any other auction listing service or site that even comes close to Auctiva, especially since Auctiva is free.

When Auctiva is down for maintenance, or seems a little to sluggish for my taste, then I log off and do something else online (or not!). Granted, I don't run my auctions and store as a full-time business, not yet anyway! So, I could see if someone does this full time, that slow-downs could be annoying, to say the least.

Sorry I couldn't help further. Good luck in your search, if you decide to use another service.

Christy.
Sorry to hear that you had problems!

Thankfully my listings went on ebay without a hitch tonight and look great.

Sure Auctiva at times has glitches, I don't know of a site that doesn't however.

What I really love about Auctiva is their customer service and help (that really does help.)

Any one that has needed help from ebay can wait a very long time and then may still not get the answer to what they need. At least that has been my experience. Here I know someone is actually reading AND answering my call for help.

Hang in there! I honestly can not recommend another service to you. Sorry
I can see how that's pretty annoying. I verified that only 6 of your 13 listings listed.

We failed pretty miserably with your listings tonight. Last week we just bombed on everyones between 2pm and 6pm, including yours, primarily due to nobody noticing the scheduler was down. Once support notified engineering it was fixed within a few minutes. We have procedures in place, but they weren't followed. That is something I need to do a better job of finding out why and trying to improve.

It wasn't an across the board thing tonight, I'm not sure why yours had such bad luck. A small % failed which is typical as many have listing violtions, etc.

We are constantly getting better and improving. We list more and more listings each week. That keeps us in a pretty constant state of rapid growth that we are always trying to keep 1 step ahead of but somtimes we take a little step back and have to catch up. If you need to leave becuase it isn't reliable enough for you now, come back and check in every few months.
Jeff,

Thanks for your reply (as well as everybody else).

I did check my listings for errors before scheduling and as most of the listings were copies of similar items. Some listed, some did not, so I don't know where to steer you to look for problems. The service rep who responded to my inquiry indicated that there was nothing wrong with listings that he could see and that I could go ahead and relist them.

I will say that I very much appreciate you and your companies attitude to service. I always feel that my complaint has been attended to to.

I am glad that the listing issues were not across the board tonight.

I did pass on Auctiva for a while and have just tried listing again the last three weeks. I left because of how slow the process had become of creating auctions, particularly on Sunday night. It seemed apparent that rapid growth was taxing your server capacity. The issues of last week all also seem to suggest that the growth rate remains ahead of your technical abilities.

The service you are offering seems to me to be of unparalled potential value, but I have to believe with today's internet dynamic of offering a service for free and generating revenue off of the value added services that the primary ethic remains the same. Consistency of product offering.

Last night I went to fast food restaurant on the way home and ordered a sandwich off the value added menu. It came missing the condiments and the lettuce. It may have been true that the store was new, that the staff was taxed, that the store was exceptionally busy or even that for 99 cents what did I expect. However it still doesn't change the fact that the product was inconsistent with the companies offering and promise. I would think that dispelling these nagging issues, after they occured, would be much more difficult than taking the steps to constraining growth to manageable proportions on the front side.

Either way I ramble away from my proper place. I will try listings again with Auctiva next weekend. Your companies attitude seems to warrant a continued effort on my part as well.
