Im not sure what has happened. I have Images and listings that are missing.

At one time any listing that was active in the store or Auction etc, showed up on the Active and Saved listings. Those Pictures are important they are still being used. And because Ebay keeps having gallery problems I need to have my Image. But I can't find it and the listing is gone. The listing is still showing on Ebay. If these have been moved to a certain area please tell me where.

We need to be able to Edit in Auctiva, from the Saved file and Active File. These listings can be used to list new items once you do a Save of the same file. It puts it in the Create a similar listing area.

Hi Community,

If there is an icon that says "Image Not Available" in place of the missing images in your listings, it is indicative that those images were marked as deleted in your Auctiva account and are on your Deleted Images page. If that is the case, you should be able to restore them by mousing over the "Images" tab within your account, selecting the "Deleted" option, checking the boxes next to the desired images and then clicking "Restore".

On the other hand, if there is broken image link showing up in place of the images, it means the images were marked as deleted at one point and have since been permanently deleted from our system. If that is the case, the only way to restore the images would be to upload new copies of the images and revise each listing by replacing the broken images with the new copies. This can be done via the following process provided the listings have not received bids and have more than 12 hours left:

1) Locate your listing in your Saved Listings folder, make any necessary changes (reupload images), and save.
2) Click the "<HTML> icon to the right of the item on your "Saved Listings" page
3) Select All and copy the html in the popup window.
4) Locate the item on eBay and click the "Revise Item" button.
5) Scroll down to the "Description" section and then click the "HTML" tab above the description editor.
6) Delete the existing description HTML, paste the copied HTML in its place, and save your changes.

Once you have done that, if you also need to restore the header/gallery images in the listings, you should then be able to do so by revising them via the following process:

1) Visit the item on eBay.
2) Right-click the image you’d like to make your new header/gallery image and click “Properties”
3) Copy the image URL, which begins with http://...
4) Click the “Revise your Item” link at the top of the auction page.
5) Click the “Add Pictures” button.
6) Delete the text(if any) in the “Enter URL…” field(if any) and replace it with the copied URL.
7) Click the “Insert Pictures” button and save your changes.

Also, we do not have any support requests in our system that have been filed before today and have still not been responded to. If you filed a support request over the last couple days and you have not received an email indicating it has been responded to, I recommend clicking the "Check the Status of an Ongoing Support Case" link under the "Help" tab within your account. Your support requests should show up there provided they were filed under the same email address you have on file with your Auctiva account.

Hi pamperme & aegissales,

The only set of circumstances under which we deleted the images of any of our users is they were not signed up for a plan that includes image hosting by the plan selection deadline of 6/1/09. Even then, we did not actually start permanently deleting those images from our system until about a week ago.

I am not aware of any technical problems on our end that would account for images being automatically deleted inappropriately, but I have seen some reports of users who have inadvertently deleted images in active listings using the image deletion wizard because they did not recognize that tool can only associate an image with an active listing if the listing was a direct post or relist through Auctiva.

In any event, if you have listings in which images are missing and you don't know how they came to be deleted, I recommend contacting our customer support team using the form on the following page of our site: http://www.auctiva.com/help/requesthelp.aspx

well, the images (at least some) seem to still be on the site, just not associated with the listings.

Hi Wes,

Are you saying you can see the image thumb in the image library in your account, BUT the standard and supersize in a listing aren't appearing?

Can you provide a listing number or link to an example listing where the images are missing?

Danno
Hi Matt,

I have opened a support case for you about this issue using the email address you mentioned above and you should receive an email containing that response shortly. Please feel free to follow up with me regarding this matter through that support case and we'll do what we can to help you out with this situation.

For future reference, the quickest way to get in touch with an Auctiva representative is to file a support request using the form on the following page of our site: http://www.auctiva.com/help/requesthelp.aspx

My images are also gone. I believe what may have happened on my end is this. When I recd quite a few ago the threat from Auctiva that all my images will be lost unless I purchased at least the $9.95 deal, so I did. Then I kept posting and adding photos. Suddenly, I was informed that I went over my allowed photo span of 1 GB and got a $1.30 charge. A note suggested I clean up using wizard, so I did. Every photo in there was deleted to make room for all future photos. What I had not been aware of or noticed in the desriptions of deleting in wizard, was that current photos in current listings should not be deleted. So, now I'm screwed, per say. I cleaned the hosting image to '0' and now All my photos except for the last week of posting are gone! I have to pull all my stock, rephoto, and relist. Time lost, all new stock is now on hold for listing. I have a minimum of 6 photos per listing. Imagine my time to unpack and repull items, rephoto at least 6 for each of them, download to the computer, crop, and relist within each listing. That's more than 225 listings right now that I know of.

After reading some of the forum concerns, I was given hope by going into the deleted photos to see if I can save them but Auctiva has already deleted them as it is past 14 days. Can't Auctiva retrieve them? Can't it be a longer hold time? Can't it be a little more clarified as to what to delete and not to delete? Can you imagine the 'photo management' time for sellers that it will take once this is all solved? The hours of pouring through photos in the auctiva photo hosting of what was sold or not, and to be careful in not deleting the wrong photos. As sellers, we are encouraged to put up many photos for the buyers' best viewing of the item; and I believe in that. I also understand that auctiva hosting site is over-filled with our photos. There has to be a better way. For $9.95 a month, now more work on me and no photos in my lisings. Buyers can't see a photo ~ they move on to another seller. Help - I need my photos and time back - PLEASE Help us. THank you
