I hope Mike or Rebecca see this...I could only log in HERE thru a browser search. Help button, Auctiva main site, nothing will load. I've tried 3 browsers with the same results. Tried all kinds of roundabout ways to log in. Cannot file a support case. Missing templates in my auctions. The list is getting longer. I hope someone has a solution (or at least an explanation!!) I was listing last night til 11pm est, then I lost access.
I was reading a little about McAfee problems but I have Norton...if that makes any difference. Hope someone can help!!

This has happened before and on a weekend...and it was HUGE problem no one had anywhere to go to report. Phone support is extra $$ and from what I have been told it is NOT worth the extra $$'s (this is part of larger plan) Never tried it so not sure...but ...

Guess we will see if as posted on recent blog:

quote:
When the Auctiva site goes down or is unable to communicate with the eBay API, our customer support team and technicians move quickly to respond to support cases as well as get the site back up and running the way it was designed to.

Our Customer Support manager, Mike Davies, is never far from his cell phone, even while he’s away from the office, just in case an Auctiva support issue comes up that his team would need his input.

Mike....I think they need you???

There are also posts on facebook about this...sure wish those folks would participate here too!!! So that everyone is on same lovely page...(I KNOW....SOME do....others use that for support because honestly sometimes answers are faster there)
Hi Community,

I just posted this up in the News section about the issues being reported:

Our IT team has been investigating the reports of problems accessing the auctiva.com site, but so far they haven't found anything that indicates a problem on our side. They will continue to monitor the situation and if they are able to identify the problem, they'll be working towards a resolution ASAP.

Thank you for your understanding & patience while we try to locate the source of the issue.
I went to the news forum many times this morning but the top news was that Auctiva was down only on the 9th for maintenance. I had been down this morning for hours with no response. The news blog that refers to the down time does not reference that there is any issue at all. I am pretty sure, there were issues. But what do I know.
Some of the members said they could not get support at all?

IF we can not file a support request...how can we report problem if we do not pay for phone support and I do not think most of us have that service.

Am wondering.....WHEN this happens again, and I have asked this after EVERY OUTAGE, issue, etc. how do we report? How do we know auctiva is aware there is a problem? As in this case there was nothing on forums from auctiva for quite a few hours.

We think these things will not happen again...that is pretty optimistic and I am a realist. Every site has issues, this site has had its down issues several times as have others. There was problem, nothing was noted on forums to indicate that support KNEW there was a problem??? People are scrambling around, chasing their tail, thinking it is just their problem.

I thought last time we were told forums would be updated when there was an issue like this so that we knew that auctiva techs were aware of the problem were trying to get it resolved.

Site was updated, AFTER issue was apparently resolved, so left quite a few people in limbo-land for quite awhile.

I notice facebook rep from auctiva said this was a 3 minute outage on several peoples comments??? From what I understand it was quite a bit longer than 3 minutes...for some it was hours.

eBay Changes Look and Feel
Oct 15th 2012, 18:02

eBay is beginning to roll out some pretty dramatic changes to its site and says even more updates are on their way.

In addition to the cleaner logo that was put into action last week, eBay is changing the homepage to reflect member-specific shopping preferences.

This new “feed” as eBay is calling it, can be customized with the shoppers’ favorite categories, and images of a variety of items will be displayed for the buyer in a way that many are comparing to Pinterest. When a buyer hovers their mouse over an image, the listing title and current price details will pop up and the buyer can click to jump to the live listing.

Once buyers get to the specific item page, they will notice even more changes. A larger profile image has been added, the condition of the item is now listed at the top right, and the item specifics section has been moved above the fold.

But what do all these changes mean for our Auctiva sellers?

I sat down and spoke to our Auctiva.com Product Manager, Rebecca Miller, to hear how these new changes will affect the listings made by our Auctiva sellers.

Me: Hey, Rebecca. So what’s your initial reaction to all these new eBay site changes?

Rebecca: My hope is that these new changes will bring in new buyers and that the new logo will grow on me. But I’m not thrilled about the new sponsored ads within listings. I think it’s a distraction to the buyers and benefits only the person who purchased the ad, which may not be a possibility for everyday sellers.

Me: eBay mentioned a Facebook tie-in within their Oct. 10 Community Announcement. Will a seller be able to do that with Auctiva?

Rebecca: This social connection can be done within the My eBay account settings, regardless if you are an Auctiva user or not. If you want eBay to post your listings to Facebook or Twitter, you simply connect your accounts within the ‘Share your eBay items with friends’ section.

Personally, I wouldn’t want to smother my friends and family with all my eBay listings, but if you had a business page for Facebook, this may work better.

Me: eBay clearly believes in the power of good images and how important they are for selling your items. What’s next for Auctiva regarding images?

Rebecca: We have always believed that good images help sell more items, and we are planning on releasing an optional super-duper-sized (the real name is still in the works) image size before the holiday shopping rush. This new image size will be available to everyone at no extra charge and will be 20% larger than eBay’s new super-sized images.

Me: Any other new things that Auctiva is working on?

Rebecca: eBay plans on rolling out more listing changes before the holidays and we are busy incorporating the necessary fields into our one-page lister that will release soon after that. We are also working on revising a few holiday templates that will help dress up your holiday listings and help your listings stand out among the crowd.

We’ll be blogging more about the new super-sized image upgrade as the release date gets closer. Stay tuned!
Thanks for posting....I saw on facebook and was going to post link later. You would think this would make the COMMUNITY FORUM with at least the link. Guess faceook is for sure becoming the community forum...as I have asked for postings such as this numerous times. Maybe the community does not need to knowthis.

Guess I have to visit facebook to get community information???

Seems at least a link could be put on here.
