Because of the scheduling problems I have decided to just do my listings and save them so they can be scheduled when all returns to normal. The problem I am having now is that none of the templates are uploading properly. That silly little box with a red X in it keeps showing up. Will this be corrected when I am finally able to schedule my listings or will I need to edit all these listing? Anyone hear anything about this?

We are currently experiencing a technical problem that is causing the template images not to show up in the saved listings and listing previews of certain items. Our engineering team is currently working on correcting this issue and we hope to have it resolved some time on 1/9/09.

This issue only affects the appearance of the saved listing and the preview so if you post listings that are affected in this manner to eBay, the template images should show up in the resulting active listings.

LET'S HOPE IT REALLY WORKS. ANYONE TRY IT YET?
Well, just to let everyone know I'm riding in the same boat. I posted 2 auctions which said successful, but they aren't in ebay and I got no email notification that they listed. So, apparently they were not successful. I also still have problems with the templates not showing up properly and the backgrounds being just little "x"s. Not too happy about any of that...guess they will not make the goal of having these issues resolved by today's end. Hopefully it will be soon because these are the times when people mostly list. Good luck to all and a response or update from Auctiva would be appreciated.
I have the same problem with the templates not showing in preview also the profile linked to the listing is not showing either i am just getting the red crosses as already mentioned.
I tried posting on of my listings on ebay to see if all of the above would show once posted but the listing did not post and eventually failed.
I know of the problems auctiva are experiencing at the moment and hope all can be reolved asap as i post approx 60+ listings a day so my ebay shop is taking a major downturn at the moment due to me being unable to list.
This is very frustrating to wake up to, the same problems both with templates and failed listings. I'd like a response from Auctiva to see what the status is today. I think everyone is owed at least that much. This is not good at all...3 days and it can't get fixed? That kind of support and reliability makes me think spending the extra few cents in Ebay listing is worthwhile.
I hear you an-altered-artist.
OK auctiva is a free service..good times Smile
Yes good times indeed but if a free or subscribed fee induced listing provider i still have my complete listing database downloded within auctiva so free or not my online business has no oppertunity but to stand by and await the realignment of auctiva's services.
My templates have not been loading properly since yesterday. The background colors show up but none of the artwork/illustrations. I have 30 items ready to go on E-Bay but won't upload them until I know this problem is fixed. It has been over 24 hours that this problem has been know about on this board and where do we stand?
I have finally had success at posting to ebay after two days. But I am still having a issue with my templates. Not only is it not showing up on my saved listings in Auctiva it has now vanished from ebay. All of my new and old listings do not have any templates. I have been trying to get this resolved since yesterday with no success. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. If you have has it been resolved and how did you do it.
Hi,

I already posted one in another topic, this is just a copy for you guys having problems loading pictures.

So I took a quick look at the <img> tag. Every single of them was like this example:

You just have to delete the bold ones (which are a/[ACCOUNTID]) and it will work. I don't know what they are doing there, but it does work Smile

So, the correct link should be

quote:
http://ti2.auctiva.com/ti/panda/panda_tlc.gif

If you are using firefox, just search & highlight every a/[ACCOUNTID] you see in your source code (there are about 10 of them in my template)
I'm also having similar trouble with my attempted listings this weekend. But in my case, some of the photos show in the template, but not others. ALL photos show up if you select supersize photo. So at least the photos can be seen, but not with a quick glance at the listing. Also, this wipes out my gallery image. So for the one listing I did post, I revised the listing to add the one free photo via ebay. At least there is now a gallery photo.

I checked the HTML code as the previous poster suggested, and that is not the problem in my case as a/[ACCOUNTID] appears no where on the page. I filed a support request yesterday, but no reply yet. Any other suggestions?

It is now January 12 and I am still experiencing the loss of all the template graphic detail. Has anyone heard anything from Auctiva as to when this will be resolved???
Jeanie B.
Hi Jeanie,

From what I've checked/tested, the bug is in the template code itself. The images are actually OK, just wrong links due to some odd code change that happened last week.

It appears the template code was somehow modified to add some incorrect info to each of the template images URLs, so you get the red X boxes for the images during Preview and use. The actual string of bad code is consistently "a/[ACCOUNTID]" on each image. Remove the string and the image restores.

If it's on an active listing, it would require use of eBay Revise Listing editor to fix the code.

One work-around for new listings is to create a custom template from Auctiva's stock template and manually remove those code errors. Tedious, but doable. Frown

I haven't seen Mike D. or Neil or anyone in the know post anything recently about a fix ETA on the templates. It looks like a "code-roll" scenario to me.

I am still getting red x's and it's getting a little old. What bothers me the most though, is after reading everyones comments I realize that its not my computer. I have been talking with Auctiva Reps for 3 days trying to figure out why this is happening to my temps. They all had differnt answers but none of them said "O, this is our problem. We are working on it." Thanks to everyone who post a comment. Maybe the reps should read all of these also Wink *My2LilMonkeys*
