Please help global shipping settings
I have opted in to the ebay shipping program and have gotten my token. I do not want to offer returns to overseas buyers, But want to offer 14 day returns to domestic. When you use Auctiva I do not see any place to do this. When you use ebay listing program it allows you to set it this way. Any help would help in this matter.

Perhaps Auctiva will listen when we speak with our pocketbooks
When I first bought this program two years ago, I was thrilled. It finally made managing my auctions convenient. Now I'm paying over $100 a year for a program that works when it feels like it. Support seems to be available through other users who are also paying over $100 a year for the program. At this point, I have been looking at other auction software. Does anyone have any recommendations?

problem using Auctiva to list!! Help!!
Was listing some items on ebay the last few days and i ship international. Just noticed all my new listings are showing I am going to use ebays global shipping where I ship to them and they ship it out. How can I stop this from doing this as I am not signed up for ebays global shipping program.

Problem with auctiva
Hi I am relatively new to this so forgive me if i have entered the wrong area. I am wondering if any one has been having the same problem as me with auctiva, basically i load one new listing with no problem at all, when i save the listing and begin a new listing everything freezes or i get web browser can not load this program. I then hasve to shut down the browser and open it again then log on to list one more listing. I have to carry this out for every listing. Any ideas This has only...

Photo/Computer Experts
Question..sorry if I've missed this somewhere. I need help making things easier and quicker for myself!!! I currently use a free photo program called Serif PhotoPlus 5.5 I download my photos from my digital camera and save them on my computer. I go into my Photo Plus Program and have to size these photos and then click on Export Optimizer to save them as a jpeg. Question...there has to be an easier way so that I don't have to size and convert EVERY photo that I have. Help! Thanks

Picking my gallery image for ebay
I make a thumbnail in my image editing program to be used as the gallery on ebay. I add a border and crop it square so it will look good in ebays small space but . . . When creating a listing with Auctiva I do not see where I can pick my gallery image other then a drop down allowing me a choice of one of the images from my listing. I don't want to use one from my listing, I have a different one I use for this, any suggestions? This is an important issue for me as far as clothing is...

Hi, If it turns out to be a virus and can't be cleaned/removed easily or has done some damage that's not easily fixed, I'd run a System Restore for a date prior to the date you think the virus infection occurred. You'll find the System Restore on the following path: Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - System Restore You'll see a Calendar with the bold dates being restore capable dates. Restore doesn't wipe data files, mail, etc., it just restores the system and program files...

Hi Lauri, The answer is yes and NO! As in, you don't want to do that. Generally, you only want to use the Auctiva insurance with carriers that don't include their own insurance as part of the base shipping price, e.g. Fedex and UPS cover the first $100 of item value with insurance that is included in the shipping price with no opt-out. The Auctiva plan covers only the excess over another carrier's plan (unless this has recently changed), so you would literally have to file to both Auctiva's...

It's completely arbitrary. How is it even a seller's fault if they charge actual shipping or less? And let's not get started on free shipping. I certainly don't mind paying for a service but I don't think the ones they are offering will fit my needs very well. I'm going to look into other options. I am sitting here - wondering what I missed. Oh well. I am looking into some other programs to work until this is all fixed. I can't NOT list. But, I do have a question. I put some pictures up Friday and I think Thursday. Are they safe? If I get shut down by Ebay, I am financially up a creek. At this time, 50% of my income is Ebay. ebay and atomicmall.com is my 100% income. atomicmall doesn't do the template thing but can host 6 photos either from external storage or from your computer and is a buy it now format. I do well on both. I posted a new program on seller central on ebay for the time being down here.

Hi, If you are using eBay checkout, check your Auctiva Account settings for Shipping Insurance and see if you have "Auto-Purchase Insurance" enabled. If you are using Auctiva checkout and have agreed to use of the Auctiva Shipping Insurance program, purchase is automatic. If that's the case, you could disable use of Insurance. Danno

If you are using eBay checkout, that's correct (disable the auto-purchase). That's how I use to use the insurance until the auto-purchase was made available and I had time to test it. Frankly, the Auctiva insurance is a great program at a better price for your buyers (FOR USPS ONLY). I'd drop buying the USPS and stick with Auctiva. If you are using PayPal Click'n'Ship, just uncheck the Insurance when you buy the labels....that's what I did. Danno

Hi, Your best bet is to message the seller and confirm they shipped to your old address. Under PayPal rules, they had to ship to the address on the PayPal transaction in order to qualify for the Seller Protection program. Many Sellers use PayPal's shipping label system, which creates the shipping label directly from the transaction info (automatically prints it with the postage, etc.). Not much Auctiva can do for you in this situation. Danno

I already had changed my home address on paypal a few minutes before I completed the transaction on auctiva. In addition, why does this Auctiva even ask for a shipping address if it cannot be used. There is no warning to buyer saying it won't be sent to this address. Not very helpful program.

I would really question what you were told mostly because eBay general service reps can't say anything like that based on anything factual. They have no idea how fast a listing may or may not load for someone else. Part of that would be dependent on the buyer phone, service provider, connection speed etc etc. If I had to guess they were trying to get you off the phone and told you anything that would accomplish that. I am also not sure what conversation/question you called them about that...

Greg I have closed my account as this restriction makes Auctiva totally useless for someone importing files. As I said, maybe someone should talk to the other parties that do not have an issue. Turbo Lister is of course Ebay(so not sure how they could be breaking any rules or policies) and inkFrog is a trusted partner of Ebay. As I said, Auctiva's issue has been around for a long time and still not resolved. The other issue that is still there is deleting all the shipping methods which again...

I'm getting the same message.......not my cookies or anything else on my end. I listed a couple of items this a.m. without any problems. Listed the last one, which was fine and 5 minutes later while doing another I received the error message and haven't been able to list since. I hate when you get the message and all your auction info you just worked so hard on is gone and you have to strat from scratch. Hi Mike, Thanks for the reply. Yes, the problem is still ongoing. I want to make it a Domestic Flat rate and have the amount. The program will not lt me do that saying that there must be Insurance. So, in the end, I have to fill it in so the auctiva program accepts it and then go into my account to reconfigure it. It's a waste of time at the moment. I'm not sure I totally understand your question. But yes, I save them all. Here's what I do to keep track of my listings: I have a notebook with a page for each of my items. On that page is a form that I've made up. I keep all the information on that form pertaining to the listing (fees, dates, etc). Through the years of selling on ebay, I've tweaked the form to be as streamlined as I can make it (we all want to save time!). These pages are kept in order in my notebook. When the listing ends...

Hi... if you're familiar with Auctiva then you know that descriptions you may not be able to cc & paste without losing something along the way. Solution, type out your description in Auctiva then use the: font, color, size & any other special effects that you want including spell check. Or you might try ctrl-paste. Wow, I agree, I didn't realize it has been 2+ years with the newer editor. That is a long time to not have issues with this editor fixed. Not to confuse the issue but it would seem, from personal experience as I use both, to most that compatibility issues exist with the new editor.....There are issues with IE and Chrome and the newer editor that I can attest to. OK....I think I am starting to follow...kinda. You need to read, on eBay, about the Certified Provider Program. That should clear up any misconceptions you are having about what you should expect and not for any certified provider....and that is per eBay as such companies are contracted as a third party provider and are required to live up to that agreement with eBay....regardless of what price any company charges. We use auctiva and sites like this to save us time not so that we can sit in front of the computer for hours and hours to delete photos. And if I understand this correctly, since it's not working correctly we will only be charged an extra $20 for this month? I really don't like being charged one penny because your program doesn't work correctly. I wasn't sure which way I was going to go and I know Auctiva had the photo deletion wizard so I wasn't worried about getting my photos deleted so...

Because I didn't list through Auctiva I didn't realize my sales records would be on your site. I have just a couple of suggestions. In the help area, tell people that have the free plan that their sales records are on Auctiva. Also, when I signed up to pay through PayPal the program would not allow it until I also checked to deposit $5 with Auctiva. That doesn't seem right.

I constantly have problems with the font. IE or Firefox, doesn't matter. Both browsers have different glitches, so dammed if u do or don't. FF makes fonts HUGE!!! but you won't see the hugeness in your preview page, only when your item gets to eBay it's HUGE. Then you have to change it there. I have 30-50 different gripes about glitches in Auctiva's html editor, but my time is too precious to sit here and name it all because nothing will be done about it anyway. We've been a power seller on eBay for several years now, and I feel like most do here. It's a little ridiculous and hurts the customer service driven, hard-working, and experienced Power Sellers. I personally hate the top seller program. It makes sellers far to vulnerable to unscrupulous buyers (and possibly competitors) If you sell 300 hundred items a month 2 unhappy buyers can take you out of search standings for three months. eBay knows there are dishonest buyers in the marketplace and acknowledged that with their feedback extortion policy. Dutchman48, I would have to agree with you. I have been selling on eBay since mid 07, hit power seller status in 08 and despite eBay changes remained a power seller. With the new Top Seller Program I transitioned into the Top Rated Seller status which did absolutely nothing but paint a huge target on my listings that eventually got all of my listings ended and my account restricted because of the "number of reports" that they had received on all of my listings. As a Powerseller I can not count the emails I received encouraging me to start selling overseas....well gues what I did and with success only NOW I get to pay dearly for that with this new program. I agree with thar. I sell expensive wigs and the client gets very emotional. They make mistakes on their order and then tell me that if I don't do what they want, they will leave negative feedback. My cost of goods is very high and the items are of a personal nature. I have a question on the auto relist. If we were recently using blackthorne and not auctiva, how can we set all our currentl listings up to have auto relist? As well, if we used another program to list the item, do we have to use the relist feature on Auctiva to have the auto relist feature work? MyStoreRewards should have made it blatantly clear that although you are giving money back to they buyer (something paypal doesn't actually charge you to do) - you are forced to participate in a paypal program that does charge another fee. I find this misleading and I will be closing the MyStoreRewards account. Thank you for your help.
