I have to agree now. I am starting to loose images on my listings. All listings are old ones. I wasnt sure at first who was causing it but now I am 100 percent sure since I have 1 listing I monitored and no for sure I did not delete the pictures.
We have a problem
I have had to stop over 100 auction listings now, that Auctiva has deleted my images on their own account. I am furious, as I am paying for storage, and no reason they should take it upon theme selves to PERMANENTLY delete my images, in running auctions. I have customers emailing, for photos, I am going nuts ! Since they started charging for their service, the quality has gone down. NO one even answers the phone now, and the on line chat is gone ! This is costing me time and money, and I about about to look back into Ink Frog, who wanted happy customers. Lois

After MANY vague and confusing responses from Activa customer support, I was given this message:
Per Auctiva Customer Service: "Thanks for contacting us regarding this matter. I would like to let you know that the images in the Active listings which are relisted by Auctiva will not be deleted by the ‘Image Deletion Wizard’ but the images in the listings listed or relisted via eBay will be deleted by the Image Deletion Wizard.
So, I would suggest you to delete the images manually by clicking on the 'Manage Image' button and then checking the box in front of 'Thumbnail' and then clicking on 'Delete' blue button."
It is my understanding that if you relisted your store items that were unsold through ebay and then used the deletion wizard, all those (relisted) listings images would be deleted.
Now, to be clear, it WAS NOT clarified to me by Auctiva when they provided this "Deletion Wizard" that listings images that were relisted via ebays "unsold" catagory would lose all their images.
I don't appreciate that much of Activa's customer service response has indicated that I was at fault for not understanding this.
I spent the day yesterday deleted over 100 store items; all of which I will have to pull, take pictures again, and relist. I expect an apology from Auctive; that they accept some responsibility for the confusion of this matter for so many of us.

I'm sorry to hear you are frustrated, but we did not delete your images "on our own accord". The only images that we have been permanently deleting now that our service that deletes permanently deleted images has been turned back on are images that were marked as deleted and were in the Deleted Images folder.
I have already gone over several possible reasons that users may have marked images being used in active listings accidentally and the reason these images are just being permanently deleted now in my previous posts on this thread, so I recommend reading those over if you have not done so already.

what a mess...
It's Aug 28th and I'm having the SAME FREAKIN PROBLEM. I did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to have my images just magically disappear. I'm a newbie, just signed up but if this is your service, accusing customers of deleting images, then you Auctiva will not be around very long. Your site is EXTREMELY complicated and not user friendly AT ALL. I accepted the challenge to try and get up to speed...thought I was doing okay UNTIL today!! One listing had 3 hours left and POOF....images gone! I am soooo GLAD I am not using any of your other services, checkout, etc...can't imagine what's going on with that stuff. I ONLY subscribed because I like your templates and multiple pictures, now THAT'S A MESS. Maybe, just maybe eBay is sabbotaging your site in order to purchase your company. We are not all LIARS, Mike....I feel for you having to claim there is nothing wrong. There is Mike....BIG TIME. I understand how to check a box to delete. Why would I check a box to delete an ACTIVE listing? Just thankful I don't have 100's of listings. I'll give you a couple of weeks to address this megaMESS....then I'm outta here.
I wrote several messages yesterday on this matter on a different page. I am losing pictures that I know I did not delete. Auctiva says I must have. This is a bigger mess than what eBay ever through at us sellers. When I was over the 1GB and got charged extra, I started deleting. I contacted Auctiva and was told that I could only bulk delete old images if I relisted with Auctiva. I relist on eBay. So I had to go and manually delete pictures so I looked at each photo I wanted to delete. 74 pages later, I felt I was below the 1GB mark and could sail on. Now here I am with photos disappearing left and right. I feel like I may have to start all over. About 500 listings. I am sick and tired of change after change after change. I could probably sell more if I didn't have to redo these screw ups and changes.
I too am finding images missing. And sorry Mike...not buying that Auctiva didn't delete them on their own accord. I came to this forum because I couldn't figure out what was going on. I'm trying to post listings we have had saved for years. I have never deleted images and I have never used the deletion wizard! But, still I have images missing. I didn't do it...no way...no how. You guys have a problem and you really should find it before everyone starts jumping ship....again.
Well, I keep loosing pictures and ending auctions by the dozens, was 150 when I last posted, I am loosing count, but what a nightmare these guys have caused us. Especially when they are not charging for a site that was much better when it was free. Here is the proof they DID DELETE OUR IMAGES, THOUSANDS OF THEM.... HERE IS WHAT THEY SAID. ...

So, the images that were marked in June but remained in users accounts are now disappearing from listings as they are permanently deleted from our database.
The image deletion email was send across to all the customer's before deleting the images. Therefore it is not possible for us to refund regarding this matter.

I looked into your specific case and your situation is different than most posting on this thread. It appears that your images have just been restricted because you did not sign up for a paid plan and rolled over to the Free Tools plan by default. The Free Tools plan only comes with 1 MB of image hosting space so you would need to upgrade to one of our paid plans to restore your images.
If you upgrade to one of our paid plans that includes more image hosting by mousing over the "My Account" tab, selecting the "Pick a Plan" option, and then clicking the "Select" button next to the plan you would like to use, your restricted image should be restored automatically.
If you upgrade to a paid plan and you find that your images do not get restored, please contact our customer support team and we can help you out with this. If you do not upgrade to a paid plan that includes image hosting, all of your Auctiva hosted images will be deleted on 9/19/09 and will no longer be able to be easily restored.

MIKE, how so you shut that darn useless deletion wizard off ! This is costing me hours and money. Here is another example, I had a item listed, and customer emailed there was no image, 330350819012 so I stopped auction, and created a new one, 2 weeks ago 390078169069 . Now, that image is gone and I have to stop it again. This is ridiculous, its happened to more then one item, I still have hundreds I am having to stop, and take photos all over again. A vicious circle going no where....Lois
Miffed, I agree totally, I am in the same boat as you. I had 900 items in my stores, many I can relist, I have had to stop hundreds now because of the deletion wizard, and its still happening, after I re did the auction listing, today, again another is gone. I have to stop it again. Ebay is making good money off my re lists, along with paying for Auctiva, I had much better service when they were free. Give me back the old Auctiva. Same thing happened to me... I am a power seller with thousands of items and photos...
Most have disappeared or are in the process of doing so.
I really liked Auctiva and didn't mind paying them a fee to store my photos, however, I have MAJOR, SUPER issues with them deleting the photos I paid to have stored.
This is costing me much money in time and I am really pissed off about it.
I really believe they were deceptive and dishonest and it is only a matter of time before someone/legal action, will make them pay for their dishonesty.
Most have disappeared or are in the process of doing so.

At one time any listing that was active in the store or Auction etc, showed up on the Active and Saved listings. Those Pictures are important they are still being used. We need to be able to Edit in Auctiva, from the Saved file and Active File. These listings can be used to list new items once you do a Save of the same file. It puts it in the Create a similar listing area.

I have finally figured out why photos are disappearing when we relist via eBay.
Auctiva KNEW this but continually fed us a lot of B....Sheet, ran us around the block and WOULD NOT TELL US THE TRUTH!!!
If you uploaded and originally listed your item via Auctiva before May/June of 2009, You must use Auctiva to relist your item or the photos will be deleted... If you use eBay to relist... Poooffff... they will be deleted... I have hundreds of relisted items to prove that fact.
If you use Auctiva to relist old items, the photos will continue to upload to eBay.
Why didn't Auctiva just tell us that we had to relist via their service and not eBay or they would delete our photos...
The photos are obviously still there...until we use eBay to relist... I now have to take hundreds of photos and relist those one at a time... I don't have the time to do that.
My question now is... what about the items that we are currently listing via Auctiva... if we use eBay to relist them, will Auctiva delete those photos??
All me, and numerous other Auctiva users are asking from you... MIKE... is the truth..
MIKE.... You owe us some honest answers because this is costing us Power Sellers MUCH TIME AND MONEY!!!
