Template Editor Problems
I created a custom template 2 days ago with no problems. Now, when I try to edit the template, I can't see my images in the editor using IE. Using Firefox, I can see images, but neither browser will import new images. I have tried the 'clear cache' thing and that doesn't help. Text editor changes listing format and text
Hi all! I've been running into this problem for awhile. When I use the text editor and format the listing info it always gets changed "mysteriously" when I go look at the preview. Most often the spaces will be removed from between paragraphs or formatting will change from left justified to center etc. This is really getting to be a pain in the you know what! Today alone I've spent over na hour trying to get the text to stay where I put it with no luck yet. Anyone else seeing this happen?

For several month now I've had a problem with the text moving from one spot in my listing to another when I save. Or when I switch back and forth between the two editors. Info that I put in the middle, such as "Condition" suddenly appears at the top. Also I'll center my text and when I save, it's all on the left. New Description Editor Page Jumping can someone pls. check
Can someone that has the NEW EDITOR (which is really an older editor 2 1/2 + yrs.) but NEWER than older.... (now that I have you confused). Can you please check and see if when you are in description area and want to add a line between two lines and hit enter the page jumps down past description box so you have to back up to get back to that area. NEW EDITOR INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATING! WHAT THE?!?!
Hi all, So the new editor is so time consuming it's ridiculous... I format everything the way I want it, then when I preview it there are SOOOOO many spaces between paragraphs, it arbitrarily changes the size of my font on some sentences, and I have to keep going to the source to add and remove paragraphs... I'll pile on to the complaints about the new HTML editor, because this particular problem is unacceptable. When I try to view the source code in the new editor, all formatting of the source (indentions, carriage returns, line feeds) are gone, making the source code just one big endless string of HTML, impossible to decipher and edit in source view. Problems with the Design / Edit Template

Problems with the New Auctiva Editor for Item Description
Looks like Auctiva just rolled out a new editor for all item descriptions. I am just started to work with it and it is already giving me a major headache. As opposed to the way it worked until now, every text I copy from another source including even from notepad is defaulted to black only in the smallest font possible, even when I am replacing a different font or color. Hi, No....Saved Listing changes only update what's stored at Auctiva on their servers for submitting new listings. Once a listing is sent/listed to eBay via the API to eBay's servers, almost all changes to active or relist need to be done using eBay's Revise Listing or Relist editor. The limited exceptions are those you'll find on the Active and Closed pages. Also, the Auto-Relist feature does some changes, which is an alternate method to examine for GTC-like operation. Hi, At quick glance, it appears you chose to place the six standard display 400 x 300 images horizontally with the listing editor. That's done when the template is chosen using the Grouping selection. That would create a 2400+ pixel wide element, not counting the template borders, spacing, etc. Using Preview can help prevent problems. If you go back to the Saved Listing and change the arrangement to Vertical (single column) or Paired (double column), that will create a corrected codeset. Use...

Good Morning! I took a careful look at the layout and visited some of your active listings on eBay for visual check before starting. Here's what I've done..... 1) I removed the portion of the description section unique to the sample listing you provided and replaced it with the Auctiva [DESCRIPTION] tag. That was everything from just under the description with shopping cart header image down to the paragraph that begins "Thanks for looking!", which appears to be common to all your listings.

Hi GrayRabbit, The code immediately gave me a clue it was copied from Microsoft Office / Word, possibly prior to the new Word paste feature (icon for that on the description toobar). However, even with that feature, you can have a result that may not be the exact same as the original word document. Word operates with an incompatible mark-up language to HTML, and that can cause visual differences and even hiccups like code moved to other than desired location. The better methods for desktop...

Hi, I think that 1/2" problem is due to the oversized pictures. I used a URL image tag as subtitute for the URL link you had to eBay's picture manager. I assumed you were presizing your images. When you upload to Auctiva, they store the image at a max of 1024px wide by 768px high. The URL link I used provides the original full-size image. The way to fix the current listing is to resize those images using Auctiva's editor with resize feature on the Image Managment page. Hopefully, that will...

All this week I've had trouble listing on this site. I get different problems with each listing and I try to do the same thing each time, jumping screens, can't remove images, etc. It's wasting vast amounts of time and I'm getting fed up with it. Hi Community, Update - One more thing to be aware of with respect to this situation is that, if you are using IE 7.0 or Firefox, and your description does not show up the same in the preview as in the editor, the appearance you see on the preview page actually represents the correct rendering of the formatting code in the HTML version of the editor. Hi, The template is part of the codeset that's built and sent to eBay when you submit a listing, i.e. the code is sent from the Auctiva site to the eBay site using that thing called or referred to as the API. Updating a template will apply to Saved Listings at Auctiva ONLY and will therefore be used for any NEW listings submitted to eBay. For active or closed listing (relist) situations, you would need to copy and paste code to eBay using their Revise Listing editor to update the code at the...

Even with up-to-date java, running Firefox, in my experience, is not always possible. There have been any number of times where IE was the only browser that would fully and completely load Auctiva Java tools.
